Chelsea and United are pure trainwrecks at this moment, the Newcastle bubble has fallen as quickly as it rose, Villa doing well but even they got beaten 5-0 by a 'smaller club' the other day... I forget who. Tottenham... well Tottenham. So on and so forth.

Olise to Chelsea, Guehi to United etc. I can't help but think that if they have ambition or even common sense that doesn't make much sense. Glasner seems to have not only brought a completely revolutionary transition in our football but even has Olise hugging him!

We're surely on course for an exciting and successful season next, if everyone stays. They know they'll be playing first team football, at still a young age, and probably reap the plaudits/get the attention for the success. A few even getting Int'l call ups now too. You'd at the least think they might want to see 'how it goes', for at least next season if not more...

For sure. It's nice to think in about 12 years time we'll be speculating that Olise, Eze and co are getting past it and we should think about letting them go.

I agree with this sentiment and I get feeling that front 3 are happy as a unit and appear to get on as individuals. Therefore I think they will stay for another year and review next summer

Geuhi is a Different arguement and he shows no sign of extending his contract and if he won't then we need to sell before his value drops.

If you look at players that are leaving we have approx 100k pw wages saved more if Clyne does not renew.

We all know squad has been wafer thin with injuries and lack of quality of bench this year.

So the question is how do we move forward without breaching FFP ( or whatever its called next year). Currently according to press we are fairly safe however we still need to take this into account.

My guess is we have about £30-40 million as a transfer fund and this may buy us 2 decent players who earn around £35-40k p.w

This leaves around £20-30 k p.w spare is this enough to persuade Geuhi to extend when he sees others earning more? My guess is it isn't.

Also by selling him with money we get can we strengthen team and still keep within FFP. I think if SP plays hard ball with prospective buyers we may get £80 million as he is in demand. I don't beleive Chelsea have a percentage clause but I do think they have a right to match accepted bid
