Simple, when we can assemble a squad that can cope with injuries. We rely too much on having our best 11 players fit. Today went exactly as expected. We weathered the early storm, caught them on the break then should have gone into the break 2 up. We fail to put teams to the sword when we have the chance and we have no dynamic subs to bring on to change a game in the last 20. Schlupp was next to useless and Hughes looks very good at marking space. Hendo looks like a small child in goal and made a horrendous mistake by coming halfway out for the goal. There are positive signs however that Glasner is the right manager for us. Today went exactly as expected. We weathered the early storm, caught them on the break then should have gone into the break 2 up. Which seems to be the expectation every time we play a team at this level, no matter which manager or players we have. How do we break this cycle, why are we locked in on this expectation, what's missing?

I pity any neutral fan who watched that dross. Awful football all around. Forest are so bad, and we matched them. Eze was a machine at giving the ball away every time he touched it. I'm starting to get worried about him. I don't know what his problem is. He'll have one moment of brilliance, then 2-3 matches of looking clueless and sloppy. I'm starting a campaign for Munoz to be our POTY, even though he just arrived. He has more energy than the rest of our squad combined.

If our finishing and final ball had been better we wyhave won that today and not needed to have a go at our keeper for letting in a goal. In truth all goals are down to someone else not doing something. Perhaps we should look at how the cross was allowed to come in? If I had to moan at anyone it would be Eza not being clinically enough but then who else have we got to show that skill of his? I would have taken that point before the match, Henderson or Johnstone in goal for us.

From where I sit - was always going to be tough today - first game after Forests point deduction - they were at home, in fact expected more form them..!! With all that in mind would have taken a point this morning all day long - much better result for us than for them - with other results we probably now need just 3 more points until it’s flip flops on..!! Yes it was turgid - but that’s what happens when you have 4;of your best players out and have no depth in the squad..!! Personally I just can’t wait to see the back of this season - just fed up of not being able to watch us at our full potential. Positives are Wharton and Munoz absolute great signings - proved again today..!! Really hope before the end of the season we can see our best starting XI on the pitch and enjoy it..!! COYP

COYP Agree completely with wanting this season to be over. Johnstone, Munoz, Richards, Andersen, Guehi, Mitchell, Doucoure, Wharton, Eze, Olise, Ayew, JPM is a good starting XI. Bit more time to establish ‘Glasnerball’ and we’re laughing. Assuming we do stay up though, I think I’d rather see the arrival of some decent squad players and the offloading of deadwood than one or two ‘glamorous’ players. We lack any depth whatsoever. Today felt like a real throwback in terms of relegation battling years past. We looked to have very little at either end of the pitch second half and were just about hanging in there with only half a threat of scoring ourselves. Only a few injuries and that’s likely to happen now. COYP, a good draw all said and done, now let’s just see out the season please!!
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

If you thought that we were poor today all I can say is thank god you are not a MU supporter.I have just watched the first half against Brentford and they were diabolical. With their resources they are a disgrace and puts into perspective what our side are.You cannot criticise our effort and desire and I for one would not swap our first eleven for that shower of an eleven of MU that have just capitulated against an average Brentford side. When one analyses how a goal was conceded, one can always find culpabilty in some shape of form. I readily admit to only witnessing the Wood goal on television after imbibing a few intoxicating tinctures so my judgement might be flawed. Once can argue that the player should not have been afforded the time to cross the ball, however Andersen's defending was abject and with the ball in the air for a period perhaps the goalkeeper could have been positive and perhaps punched the ball away. The ball being headed over a 6ft 2in goalkeeper from the position that Wood made contact was not a good look. Perhaps in the morning when some alcohol has left my bloodstream, I will form a different conclusion !!
