Mateta was huge today. Totally bullied the Burnley defenders. Great hold up play. Munoz is such a positive addition. Love his energy. Richards still scares me defensively, but fair play to him for that nice goal. Nice to see some Franca magic too. Only negative really was Edouard. He's just very weak overall. Hard to believe he was starting every match over Mateta not that long ago. Again. Play Edouard in the centre and he will score. He's out of position on the left. The reason he was played before instead of MAteta, is because that is where he plays best. I agree Mateta had a good game today, but recently, he's looked slow and off the ball, mostly painful to watch.

He's our most improved player of the season and has been one of our best players overall recently. He's never going to bang in loads of goals but his target man play has been sublime.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

It was nice to see us play with so much intent. A mention in dispatches for Mateta who was a handful and held the ball up really well; well taken penalty too. We've brought in a pair of gems in Munoz and Wharton. Both their work rates were very impressive with excellent passing and movement off the ball.

I thought Burnley were the poorest team that I have seen at SP for some while & once the sending off occurred the only doubt about the result was going to be when / if we were going to score - Any visiting team that's already time wasting after only 20 minutes of the game already knows its going to be a long difficult afternoon for them & so it proved to be the case. I can sort of see that, however Burnley are a team fighting for their survival and at no point in that match today did they look in control. When it comes to Spurs we’ve had a horrendous time against them last few years. If we can get anything out the game with the injury ridden team we have then Glasner is truly a miracle worker.

The 3 points were the most important things yesterday. We must remember we were playing against a team lacking in confidence and down to 10 men for nearly 70mins.

Yes Burnley were a poor side with 11,so as you say it was a question of when. You can only beat what's put in front of you and we did. Luton will be more difficult but perhaps we'll have some personnel back by then.

That's the worse case scenario, however it would give the new manager the biggest budget to create his side. Personally I don't see all four going in one season break. However, I'd be surprised if any of them are here beyond next season. That said, it's not just them....We have aging players who also need replacing. For better or worse Palace is entering a new era and will look radically different. Hold onto your hats.
We are sniffing around Jordan James at Birmingham, a wharton like gem? Doucoure replacement. Kofi Balmerino doing well at afc( at centerback) Plus a texture stitch up to get jake o brien back, haha. If we stay up a lot change. Would keep ayew, ward and mateta. Lots of change next season, that for sure.

Twenty minutes? Trafford was faffing about with the ball right from the outset. Clearly, a strategy discussed in the dressing room. So poor it was even annoying the Burnley supporters. They cheered sarcastically when Burnley had their first shot late in the game!

A game of opinions as they say but for me I completely disagree, I think JP has improved enormously with very little delivery. Finally yesterday we see people running off of him meaning he has support. I am really interested to see how he develops under Glasner.
