We have a tinpot atitude and no ambition. Probably the pathetic clown for the rest of the season So we can consider it a done deal.

What would be the point in lying? I’m not sure it would be lying. Romano said he’d been sacked when clearly he hadn’t. If they were about to sack him then things have changed and Roy “stepping down” gives him and Palace an opportunity to manage the situation in a way which helps both parties. Why wouldn’t they?

I think that where Parish can, he does his best to manage a situation the smoothest way, without a PR nightmare... this may be it... I feel Parish and co may say - look roy is 76, it's an insane task to ask... let's move him along... And that would be understandable...

The situation sad though it is has enabled Palace & Roy to part terms without the dreaded sacking.

Only because Roy had a health issue
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Uk law states you cannot sack someone or terminate there contract if in bad health or off sick.Especially for such a short period. Think you will find it will be mutual agreement or he resigns due to health reasons.

The risk is, he has no experience of the intensity of the Premier League and would have to adapt very quickly. Wouldnt be surprised if McCarthy was retained. Nor did Pep, Klopp, Arteta, Emery etc, they aint doing too bad.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

It's the timing of all this that's the worry. Had OG been brought in at the start of the season to work alongside Roy then he would have had plenty of opportunity to find out about the intensity of our game.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

For goodness sake - Continuously writing negative comments can’t be healthy! I’m delighted we are finally getting a new manager. From what I have read, he will organise, give all players the opportunity to prove themselves and inject some much needed energy into the role. Think it will also create a new buzz around the place. I can wait to see a manager organising the side from the touchline, encouraging, applauding good play and making adjustments when needed.

This resonates with me, all correct, as for whether Pep et al came in during a season, i don't think they did, but, not 100% sure. My point was in reply to Painter about OG having no EPL experience Edited by eagleman13 (17 Feb 2024 9.53am)
