Greaves also linked with West Ham who will be looking to move on from the likes of Ogbonna. They're lack of a manager may stall them a bit

Guehi is a great player and will be missed but he is destined for bigger things and as others say, with 2 years remaining it is time to sell (the Euros could really push up his value) We could buy 2 cb’s and a LB with that money giving us great depth at the back.
Joel Ward has been here through an incredible period and played a massive role in our success. 400k if I remember correctly and at the time it was a huge signing for us, big money and looking back what a bargain he was. If he goes this summer he will leave with huge respect.
I suspect Clyne will stay another year. His pace means he can fill in at RB and CB

Eze and Olise leaving will mean we need some great recruitment this summer. Saying that I have faith we will find the players. I just hope they see the benefit of a half or full season under Glasner as in Olises case he needs time to improve that right foot at a club where he starts

Back to the original topic on the team next season and I would expect/hope for us to line up something like what is below, based on the need to meet PSR rules and raise funds. Olise and Guehi the ones to go though obviously with a heavy heart.

Johnstone

Munoz Richards Anderson Lerma Mitchell

Doucoure Wharton

New RW Eze

Mateta

I anticipate two players leaving because of what John Textor said back in February concerning PSR. Given how long the board held out on Zaha, it makes me feel that we will hang on to Eze. It is presumed that his sell on to QPR is higher than Olise again. He is also older and probably not quite as good a player so probably the better to hang on to.

Who to replace Olise? My first choice would be Crysencio Summerville from Leeds if they weren't promoted because we might genuinely have the capital to sign him if not the attraction as a club. Other posters have already mentioned that all three of the defensive positions need strengthening and maybe a striker to provide real competition to JPM.

I ain't got nuthin' funny to say. Sorry.

If Guehi and Olise go we will have around 120 million which I am sure Glasner will be looking to reinvest. I would say another couple of centrebacks, one of whom would replace Lerma (who could be cover/rotation for both back 3 and DM); an upgrade on Mitchell and a backup for Munoz (It does not look as though Glasner is thinking Imray is up for that yet).
Summerville would not come cheap as he is the Championship player of the year. If Forest go down Gibbs-White will probably want a move. He also will be expensive but may not quite be good enough for a top club. He plays more as a 10 but that may suit Glasner and he has consecutive years of excellent performance already in the EPL

On the subject of Eze and Olise release clauses, by the way, meant to post this the other day but forgot.

Article in the BBC about them that states that we'll entertain offers of at least £60m for the pair.

Interestingly, it says "Neither contract contains a straightforward release clause". I know the rumours were that Olise's was £60m but perhaps it's not quite so simple.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold...

There has been talk that only a Champions League team can activate the release. So if Man U is where he has set his sights on then Palace could sell him for more

Knowing our luck the manager will twig that we have no money for new players and leave in early August.

Parish will then ask Roy back!

No but seriously I can see some of our 'crown jewels' leaving but for once going for decent money. I look forward to Ollie being given that money and using his knowledge combined with Dougie's talent spotting to strengthen the side.

Haha You joke but I am generally concerned with that. If our end of season keeps progressing so well for example with a convincing win over Man Utd, will bigger clubs come sniffing? We can only hope not

Next season has the makings to be our most exciting season in a very long time

I doubt that the transfer market will be as over inflated as previously, the January window showed a huge drop in transfer activity and fees. The penalties of points reduction fot Everton and Forest as spooked the big clubs.
Dealing wont be easy with players like Guehi not going for as much, as say last summer, but Championship teams will still want big money for their stars.

I hope our owners don't share that small club mentality.

If we are to grow as a club, we must hold on to our best players.

Our wage structure has to reflect the club we aim to be, and players and other clubs must know that we are ambitious and not a selling club.
If players are thinking about leaving, we need to give them reasons to stay.

If we don't, we will forever be an also ran.

I of course want to hold on to our best players, but I really don't get the attitude that if we don't we wont grow, or will be an 'also ran' if we sell our best.

Great players will always want to test themselves at the highest level, if they think there is a better/quicker route to the top they are likely to want to take it.

And lets be honest, outside of maybe Barcelona and Madrid, every team is a selling club.

We’re about to push the button on a big and financially stretching stadium rebuild which will put us up into the next tier of PL clubs. We’ve just hired what is looking like one of the most exciting managers in the PL. We signed two great players in January. What more do you think we could do to show our intentions??
