Hard way to lose the game but we tried to get back to 2-2 and got punished. It was a harsh defeat We are missing 5 of our best players and Sam Johnstone is one of those. Bring him back immediately! Distribution, shot stopping and communication with the back 4 seems obvious to me and has been missing each game he missed. Positives: Even when everyone are match fit Munoz and Wharton are first 11. Very impressed with both for different reasons, the club spent money very well on those 2. Franca offers a lot going forward but still adjusting, actually won the ball back many times but still needs to play it safe in our half which is where he caused us issues. Needs games to get match sharpness. I might be a minority but I can see a team capable of staying up even without Olise and Dacoure. Bring back Johnston, Guehi and eze when they are both fit and we have a good enough team to stay up. Thats my belief. Point v Everton, beat Burnley and we will all feel a huge relief. It’s a lost season now and all hands on deck for survival. Roy for me minus Henderson picked the same team I would have, He will be gone in the summer thankfully and hopefully having managed not to take us down

Let’s face it the result was no surprise but we were worth a point from the effort we put in. We also have to face it that w3 only have 11 premiership quality players and without 4 of them Eze Olisse Doucoure and Guehi we are unlikely to win many games.COYP

Dont really understand some of the negative post match comments. I have just got back , and i thought we did OK , Couldnt really fault any 1 player, thought Munoz stood out and Wharton looked good, the remainder all had solid games and i think Pochetino is talking pony if he says Chelsea deserved the win i feel a draw would have been a fair result. One thing our defenders and midfield have to learn is to take a yellow up the pitch to stop dangerous counter attacks. Both Richards and Lerma should have stopped the attack for their second goal on the half way line, by taking the player out. They didnt and held off and the rest is history , but it is basic defending and one of the best sides at doing it is Man City

We made a very poor Chelsea team look brilliant by passing the ball backwards for 90 mins. Lost possession way too many times and any proper side would have thrashed us. Hodgson out!!! Like I have said from day 1. Sick of pepole making excuses for the id fraud of a manager. He is the reason the players are going nowhere. If he cared about the club he would walk!!! Just read the stats. How to you expect to compete in a game with only 22% possession??

Unbelievable, 48th minute, 91st minute, 94th minute. We lose control of games at vital times. Henderson is absolutely garbage, we’ve been mugged off with him for a big fee. Couldn't have put it better. We have turned into a bunch of bunnies, honestly. We are so vulnerable in the first and last 10 minutes of any match and all the other clubs know it.

Not sure why anyone thinks Henderson was at fault tonight? I would like most prefer Johnstone being our No 1, but whoever was in goal tonight wouldn’t have changed the result? We played without our four best players against a multi million pound team who had a bench full of players of a quality far exceeding our bench. I thought we gave it a good go tonight, so unlike the last few matches no complaints from me towards Hodgson. If anything, we lost because our substitutes just weren’t good enough. The players that went off and some that stayed on were knackered. Chelsea could make substitutions and still have a strong side. Sadly we couldn’t and that was why we lost. Thought our new players played well and once settled in will enhance us greatly. And even more so will make our bench stronger with a better quality of player to bring on once Olise, Eze, Geuhi and Dacoure are available. Let’s hope the first 3 are back before it’s too late to keep us up?

Just back from the game. That’s a far better performance from the boys. Thought we could have got a point but at least we didn’t roll over. A fair few positives. In order: 1 Munoz The rest of them played ok in parts too. Still can’t understand what’s going on with Henderson over Johnstone

I thought we looked solid at the back and won the ball in midfield on a number of occasions but just lack the ability to take those chances. The new lads did pretty well and Franca will prove a decent buy with more game time. Like you thought a professional foul and take the yellow would have prevented the second goal. My only disagreement would be that our keeper had his usual poor game. No authority in the box , hid behind Andersen for the second and had no idea what to do for the third so did nothing. He should be dropped .

I think everything has been said. Don’t agree with the Henderson haters - thought he did okay - but hey, we are all entitled to our own opinion. Gutted we lost that - I actually thought the opposite and we were going to snatch a wonderful victory. Football can be a cruel game. Felt the team played with more heart today. Some season defining fixtures coming up - got to stay positive, support the team and you never know…. Edited by VinceHilaire (12 Feb 2024 11.38pm)
