Problem is that Roy is just plain out of touch. They get 5 sets of fresh legs and it immediately changes the whole balance. Credit to our guys for hanging in there. But this is why we get so many injuries. Needlessly overworked players

But that is our problem quality on the bench, we frankly only have 6/7 quality players the rest are just to make up the team and put bums on the bench. He has little choice as things stand!

Now if ManU can manage to beat Forest it will be a perfect day. We win and all teams (the few of them) below us lose so we get some breathing space.

Good team win today. Well done lads.

No one said that after the City game. We have just got to use our academy boys again. If not in the modern game you get late leg sprains.

I couldn't agree more but if he is not confident they can do the job, then we have to trust his judgement, he should know what he is talking about he has been around long enough and what would you say if he did that and it ended up 3-3!

You mean overworked? ....... Yes, definitely.

I just hope he is not hurt. Someone needs to explain to Roy why most clubs make 4 or 5 subs a game. Avoids injury. Alters games. We got lucky they didn't snatch any late goals as so often happens. Surely we can see this.
We did so well to hold our lead. Just hope our new star is ok.

Very easily could have done with his methods. Mopay hit the bar and Henderson did a massive stretch save. Like happens in so many games.

And if Roy made subs and they got a draw ? Why did he take Olise etc off ? we were relatively comfortable apart from shot hitting bar ! He can't win sometimes

Opposite can be said for the last couple where we have lost in the last 10 because our players have been absolutely nackered or they are recovering from injuries.

Some may even suggest injuries have occurred because of this also.

He has always been late with subs, this isn't an opinion, it's a fact over his career as a manager and it's been commented on quite a few times by pundits. Hughes, Amadeha, Franca, Ozoh and Riedewald have all looked capable of at least....dare I suggest
a massive 15 mins. That's at least 5 mins over Roy's usual quota. He is great at certainly quite a bit of management but his inability to sub players until their legs are dropping off is not one of them.

At the end of the day, it was a great result. Im super happy. We got ourselves a bit of breathing space. Just hope all our boys are ok that's all.

Totally agree. As a club we really need to look at this and adjust our thinking. Players are not machines.

Brilliant team performance today, Olise superb and Mateta showed why he's so much better than Édouard up front.

No doubt they were all playing for Roy and he was more lively on the touchline than usual I thought. His subs were very late as is his way, but difficult to argue with his tactics.

Now we need to put one over on the Gunners.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.
