I thought that was a pretty sound performance. Trouble is we don’t have much of an engine in midfield. All the work has to be done by Ayew who then has to do a shift on the wing. Hughes’s tackling is very half-hearted even if he gets near the ball (which isn’t very often).

Wow a lot of posts on here from peeps saying we done ok we got a point need to go and tug Roy off.. because we should be doing something more than this. Not just West Ham, it has been highlighted a lot recently against lesser teams, it’s not the fact we drew with West Ham it’s how we done it . Lucky goal . All palace players do is work hard . Decent point won in the end . We all know that could have been a right disaster so pleased with the point .Defended much better in the second half .

Agree totally. It doesn't matter the personnel, it's the same as the first time round, the same dour negative tactical style that drags all the players down into Royball mode. It was the same with England too, that negativity that had the players performing way below their respective capabilities. Joyless.
