A very poor result indeed but we have to start putting goals away. Surely, we have to spend in January because it's clear we're not going to progress with what we have. Injuries to Eze and Doucoure could cost us dear ... fingers crossed they are not as bad as they sound on the radio commentary.

this was always going to be the proverbial banana skin for us, didnt think we were that bad, one brain fart by andersen and they score, didnt think johnstone had much to do most of the game, it was one of them games, we have done this to other teams in the past. Do think the 3 teams that come up will go back down this year.

No words really.. Its all very familiar from when Roy was last in charge. Imagine playing in that team and looking to the bench for some inspiration and a weathered, down trodden looking 76 year old elderly male is staring back at you... Thing is I don't blame Roy.. I blame our board. We are a poor side that happens to have 3 or 4 very talented individuals in it. What's even more concerning is that this will definitely be Eze and Guehi last season with us and you can guarantee we won't replace them. I said it the other week we will finish between 17th and 13th but our board and some on here will be more than happy with that. I agree. We have 7/8 players who can be considered PL quality - Johnstone, Guehi, Andersen, Lerma, Doucoure and Eze, maybe Ayew. Now two of those are injured again. I always hold out hope for some January spending and now perhaps news on the manager front but not holding my breath. Any talk of a new stand, whether we can take it seriously or not these days, only adds insult to injury at this stage. If we stay up, and I believe there is a sincere chance we will not, you can’t see the likes of Eze, Olise, Guehi and Andersen staying. What would be the point?
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

F**king sh!t, an embarrassment and an insult to fans. This. Our players, apart from maybe 4 are nowhere near as good as the many blinkered Palace fans think they are, and we have 3 that wouldn't get into ANY other premier league side. Olise is far too good for us, and if he's got any sense will be off asap. The management are totally to blame for accepting mediocrity. They seem happy to tread water instead of trying to move forward like Brighton, Brentford, West Ham, Villa etc. As soon as the commentator said that Brown hasn't scored a Premier league goal since arriving from Stoke, it was nailed on what would happen next.

Both conceded goals were the fault of the players, not the manager. After a fine run with a league-leading tally of clean sheets, we have lost our focus on the details. There's a vast difference between being sharp for 90 minutes vs. only 88 minutes.

This season is starting to look as though we’re going downhill fast. Yep agree with you there Nich , a race to the bottom and we are front runners if we cant beat the likes of Luton . FFS They're not exactly City r Scummerpool . Disgraceful ! Picked up a few injuries also looks like they will be out for the Xmas .

I feel sorry for Roy as it must be soul destroying to look at our current strikers who are average at best. They aren’t even good let alone excellent. Parish and Freedman must take responsibility for not signing anyone decent up front. How long have we been saying this?? Our pleas for Right Back are also becoming embarrassingly repetitive but they seem intent on muddling through with Ward who is just too old and too slow. To be honest we deserve to be a place or two below are current table position. I’ll keep the faith but if there are no signings in January we will get relegated… And please no more keepers or midfield players.

Well, well, well, if those injuries are as bad as they seemed we will be missing Eze and Doucoure for quite a while. No surprise we lost after that, our squad depth is poor and especially awful in offensive areas. Once again it comes back to some exceptionally ridiculous transfer business in the summer, and massive amount of money wasted. Franca is a luxury we simply cannot afford. 2 tied up in a player who is not ready for the PL and may not even make the grade on PL. Alright for the big clubs to take gamble but not is. Freedman and Parish must have been gambling on getting no injuries. I think we are going to have to sell Guehi in January, generate some funds and increase the quality of the squad. Trouble is after the summer would the fans trust the club not waste the money again ? Not looking forward to the Christmas run in that's for sure.

I reckon Dacoure has had a season ending lnjury possibly Achillies and Eze looked like ankle ligaments which could be 2 or 3 months . Without those two we face an uphill battle. The one bonus is that after these 7 games before the new year we only play 1 league in January ,Hopefully we will have a new manager by then

I await the manager's verdict - if he says anything except 'the best team won' he should resign and hand over to Paddy in the interim. I am aghast - surely a manager of his calibre should have done much better with the talent available. Tough games ahead and lack of a right back and striker will haunt us. Actually, if you look at our squad, we only have circa 6 players who can truly say are first eleven quality, the rest just make up the numbers and probably would struggle in a championship side. Parish has just lost it, the manager can only shuffle around the pack of cards he has and frankly some of those are just not good enough for regular first team football in the EPL. Changing the manager will not solve the problem!

Okay, I'll bite on the bait.... It always the same, if we lose its Roy's fault, not the players for underperforming. If we win, then talk of Europe, its so predictable.
