We have 7/8 players who can be considered PL quality - Johnstone, Guehi, Andersen, Lerma, Doucoure and Eze, maybe Ayew. Now two of those are injured again.

We are what we are. We are underfunded (by PL standards) as we have a relatively skint chairman, who chose to spend all his money on Holding, Franca and Henderson, for some bizarre reason as none of these play in our first team, and we have a manager who’s been dragged out of retirement to make do with the little resource available. It’s downright depressing sometimes especially on days like these. We could well be in for one of our infamous droughts.

I always hold out hope for some January spending and now perhaps news on the manager front but not holding my breath. Any talk of a new stand, whether we can take it seriously or not these days, only adds insult to injury at this stage. If we stay up, and I believe there is a sincere chance we will not, you can’t see the likes of Eze, Olise, Guehi and Andersen staying. What would be the point?

Both conceded goals were the fault of the players, not the manager. After a fine run with a league-leading tally of clean sheets, we have lost our focus on the details. There's a vast difference between being sharp for 90 minutes vs. only 88 minutes.

Well, well, well, if those injuries are as bad as they seemed we will be missing Eze and Doucoure for quite a while.

No surprise we lost after that, our squad depth is poor and especially awful in offensive areas.

Once again it comes back to some exceptionally ridiculous transfer business in the summer, and massive amount of money wasted.

Franca is a luxury we simply cannot afford. 2 tied up in a player who is not ready for the PL and may not even make the grade on PL. Alright for the big clubs to take gamble but not is.

Freedman and Parish must have been gambling on getting no injuries.

I think we are going to have to sell Guehi in January, generate some funds and increase the quality of the squad. Trouble is after the summer would the fans trust the club not waste the money again ?

Actually, if you look at our squad, we only have circa 6 players who can truly say are first eleven quality, the rest just make up the numbers and probably would struggle in a championship side. Parish has just lost it, the manager can only shuffle around the pack of cards he has and frankly some of those are just not good enough for regular first team football in the EPL. Changing the manager will not solve the problem!
