My biggest fear in all day f this is that Everton get relegated by a point. The appeal is heard postseason end and reinstates 2 points so they end up swapping places and team who at the end of the season was 17 goes down. This might be us - hope not, but whoever it is is bound to legally challenge and who knows who will be where possibly as late as start of next season.
Everyone is just tying themselves in onots

Whilst not FFP per se, there are huge rumblings with 777 & now find themselves sited for, amongst other things fraud, could (hopefully) mean bad things for Everton . . . [Link]
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Another twist in the Everton saga, they have withdrawn their appeal over the further 2 point deduction . . . [Link]

Presumably taking some note of the fact that appealing the points deduction didn't do Forest any good & possibly because they are concerned that their current financial challenges may lead them to be in front of the same tribunal again soon (not wanting to brass them off any more than they have already)

It helps that they are safe from relegation I reckon. If they weren’t then you could bet this appeal would have gone ahead.

Apparently players have to be sold.....things could rather collaspe at Everton despite managing to stay up.

The players at Standard Liege (also owned by 777) have not been paid for April and won’t be until end of season. I am beginning to hope this deal goes through as this, hopefully. Will finish Everton off

Will finish Everton off Their game l/n was postponed due to protesting fans blocking the team buses from getting to the stadium. 777 have called in 'finance experts' to help them, not looking good for either of them now . . . Appears another takeover bid has collapsed for the toffees Appears they owe 200 million to the 777 group and friedkin group have already put 198 million since being given exclusivity. What a mess this has turnt out to be, I consider ourselves fortunate someone like Parish looks after our club - although everton fans had kenwright and hounded him out! Can only see this going one way towards the start of the season and thats administration (which would atleast wipe their debts, but would see them get a 9 point deduction) Edited by MFW94 (19 Jul 2024 1.53pm)
