Oh, well. A points a point but not much else.
JRS showed some nice touches which hopefully will help his confidence - shades of Olise in some of his play.
Eddy & Mateta looked like they'd never met each other.
Jairo's balls into the area were hit and hope.
Ayew & Hughes as busy as ever.
Was glad to hear the whistle.

On Riedewald - thought he was woeful - can’t run, can’t pass, can’t tackle and as you say can’t take a dead ball - not sure exactly what he can do and more relevantly why he is still at the club picking up a sizeable salary.

Then to top it all went down injured when he’d done nothing all game - wasn’t missed and will no doubt be out again for a lengthy period whilst picking up his sizeable salary - just get rid, he’s had enough chances and if anything getting worse - looking more and more out of he depth..!!

I will say he looked decent in the two United games. He looked very good in the last one so wouldn’t want to be too reactionary. Might of just had a bad game. I think the problem with him has always been consistency

It would have been great to come away with another 3 points yesterday but, if before the Man Utd game last week, we'd been given the offer of 4 points from the Forest and Utd game I think most of us would have taken that.

I think being there made you realise just what a big point that was.

We worked our socks off for that point and deserved it all day long. I dare say Forest will feel they could have nicked it. Well, know what ? They didn't.!!!

Roy has instilled a great work ethic at the club. That was what was showing today.

Spot on

I was a bit disappointed with Jairo especially given the Man U performances.

Thought he was looking slimmer and a bit more dynamic but yesterday was left wondering as to whether he was showing the signs of somebody who has not played much football, or consistently, for a number of years now or somebody who just isn't quite able to make the necessary standard for the PL.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Agreed,
but at least his heart was in it, even though he was off the pace

He didn't have the pace or the energy to keep up with their midfield. I think these days the PL is so intense you need both. In a European league I think he would be fine but not the PL.

Roy played in the manner expected as set by the circumstances.
We are back to the one shot on target during a game times of the past, and until our more gifted and attack minded players re-enter the fray it's going to be much more of the same, Roy knows no other way. Notably PV went in for a bit of Royball himself when things were getting tough last season. it's a natural reaction to the lack of forward minded players with that special something that can unlock the opposition.
it's not pretty, but given the circumstances one has to respect the point.

I believe, probably 5 years ago, that Messrs Hodgson and Lewington were of the opinion that the player does not react and get back quickly enough for the rigours of the Premier League.

However Riedewald has long-range passing attributes and can be deployed in a back line, at left-back and in central midfield. He was actually signed by De Boer to play in a back three or in midfield.
