According to their passport, maybe, culturally, definitely not.

i disagree. Stabby Stabby now IS British culture. Not found in Poland, Hungary, Iceland etc. You cannot separate one from the other.

Iceland have no Stabby-stabby and have a shyte football team.

UK ? If our football team is British, then our stabby-stabby is now British too.

I think that is a very strong assumption ... lots of parents go without to give their children the best chance in life. Private schools like to attract children from a cross section of society so give grants to help talented children from poorer backgrounds attend. I've read somewhere that the girl's mother is an NHS nurse. Poor kid ... no one deserves to die in a crowded street at the hands of a murdering thug.

Annual fees at Old Palace £20,000. That is a lot of net income.

FYE 2022, the average (median) real terms household income before housing costs (BHC) was £565 per week (around £29,500 per year). This represented an increase of 0.5%, or £3 per week, compared with FYE 2021. Average income after housing costs (AHC) also increased to £500 per week (around £26,000 per year).

Most likely on a full bursary in that case, possibly plus a full scholarship which reduces fees even further. Not everyone that goes to private school is loaded.

Wait untill he's a responsible age, is he on the dole ? Does he sell a bit if weed ? If yes then he probably isn't responsible enough to have kids with. Its really not that hard. If the welfare state didn't exist, I'm sure women might just be a bit more selective.

Despite the hundreds of years of evidence to the contrary.

Anyone who doesn’t sell weed and isn’t on the dole is going to be an excellent father, right? That seems a completely fool proof solution.

This problem seems so deep rooted that unless the community is prepared to co operate with the police there is little chance of change.

Once in a while you se a story of a mother who gave up a son to the police in order to try and get him out of the cycle as she feared he would end up dead.

The policing required to have impact would be seen as unacceptable by many and labelled as racist etc etc.

Equally critics of these things do the opposite. It does puzzle me often that the same people that criticise and dismiss well-researched sources of information from one source then jump straight into bed with one they do agree with ideologically, with little of the same critical analysis.

Your unwillingness to cross check that twitter post is a great example – because you agree with their political angle they get cut some slack. Not particularly aligned with the usual claims of 'independent thought' and critical thinking. If anything that's more 'sheeple' behaviour, which is bizarre considering how defensive you lot get about your trusted sources.

Just because someone is independent or agrees with you ideologically or politically doesn't mean you give them a free pass. It's hypocritical in the extreme

Errrr....you're the one with the uncritical one sided view on this.

I'm the one who actually said it would require more data and a summary from both sides of the picket fence for a proper analysis.....You just seem desperate to confirm your own biases by turning one ear off.

The commonality is deprivation – sure culture can't be ignored in some cases but it's far from the only issue. Certainly not enough evidence to say that it is, and certainly not enough evidence to say it definitively.

If you focus just on London and you identify as a right leaning individual then I can see why your view is skewed, though.

Edited by SW19 CPFC (28 Sep 2023 4.20pm)

You want to point to Japan as an anomaly but then talk about Hartlepool? What is perhaps more notable is your seemingly deliberate ignoring of the blindingly obvious.

Here is an article on the worst places for crime in England.....Sure, white people commit crime....especially in social liberalism (thanks). However, your desire to overlook realities deserves criticism.

By the way, Japan isn't an anomaly, low crime isn't uncommon in well ordered socially cohesive states. There are other south eastern countries like South Korea, there are Scandinavian countries (before your globalism god intervened)

What on earth are you talking about?

It seems that the news that being on weed and on the dole is less ideal as a father than not being on weed and the dole is news to you.

This land of great unemployed weed fathers has certainly escaped my attention.

The people who built western civilisation would be dismayed by them.....to think people stormed the beaches for this crap.
