I think you are replying to someone that may well of invented fantasy football.
Outside of the online versions , the only way to this blokes dreams is through the pocket of a Middle Eastern state , The word ambition keeps getting used, as if no billionaire no ambition. That kind of sums his attitude up, it’s not about football ,it’s about ambition.

Despite my sad contributions to this thread I agree with you on both counts. There is, indeed, a legitimate discussion to be had on Parish's continued role in the club, but whilst we have the diatribe from certain posters that's never going to happen on this thread.

The only real discussion is about how football fans are often unhappy, no matter what their club has achieved.

Happiness even for the most successful clubs only lasts one season until it begins all over again.

Equally, success should be relative to expectations. Many fans have unrealistic expectations, which in some cases can be extreme, but sensible ones know better.

Palace fans have little to celebrate in the way of winning things, but we are in the best era for league status in our history, and progress beyond that will be difficult.

It will take something seismic to elevate us to a 'big club' and even then, fans would still be whining.

Personally, I just want us to win something before I die.

I know, I know, The ZDS cup. I mean a major trophy.

Perhaps we can get a referee who doesn't support the other team next time.

The problem with the og poster is that nowhere does he explain what "ambition" is, or how to go about actually make the generalisation "ambition" an achievable realisation. He falls at the first hurdle.

Absolutely Dartford. Some of us have seen real dross from Palace over the years. I can remember taking a work colleague to see his home town side Grimsby Town in the Early Eighties when I was still living in London. Our performance lived up to the first 4 letters of that team's name. As I recall we were done 0-3.

Banning him might solve the problem and give him something else to do in his sad little life.
