I was wondering if the board had no doubts about us avoiding relegation given the blasé attitude thus far (no need for reinforcements, a couple of loans will suffice), or if they now realistically consider relegation a possibility and are factoring in the managerial recruitment to match. They must already have a few names in mind, not only for the manager's post, but also for those players who will not be given another contract next season.
Professional attitude from the players in the remaining games will determine what happens next I suspect.

Just heard when PV took training yesterday and talked about the Brighton match from night before..
it was same old PV....
Got all the talk, same rehearsed lines, same approach to Sunday game being considered.
No urgency....no concern, no fight
Time was clear, PV.... has gone

I'd go for Paddy Mac until the end of the season.

Palace takes so long to decide anything- notably player transfers where our dealings are invariably protracted- I wouldn't be surprised if we waited to see which League we are in next season.

Parish you plonker how can you teach a so called striker to shoot & score ?

With the teams yet to play it would have been worth holding onto Pat & you putting on players !

If you don’t want to finish bottom near relegation battles then support you coach

You did the same to Pulis same to Holloway now to Pat - your the problem

Yes we lost a few yes we draw against teams above us who have spent s*** loads more

Yes the bottom two have new coaches but have they improved ? No why cos the players don’t cut it simple !

Do our players cut it No - EZE & Ayew don’t cut it - our two strikers Don t cut it - we have aging players Milo / Ward / Tomkins - come on wake up Parish

I really do hope Parish has sounded out an experianced manager along with the associated back up team before he woke up this morning .

Parish says sacking PV gives the club the best chance of retaining its premier league status , not if you havent got a manager it doesnt .
Paddy , Derry , even Freedman , great servants of the club but if they were going to cut it as managers they would have by now. We have to be setting our sights higher than that

Everyone's assuming the next manager will be male (sorry, of course I mean 'identify as male'). Palace has always been a club that thinks outside the box (there's precious little evidence that we've been anywhere near the box recently) so what about going for the woman who manages the Lionesses? It'll happen one day...

The players will have another box in mind , relegation a certainty

Have a listen to post match interview with PV after Brighton match, where was the "fighting talk".. None!
He had given up, he knew his favoured tactics were a failure this season.... he knew he was waiting for today...

Anyone will do - providing they can motivate a dispirited yet talented squad. Vieira was floundering parroting the same old mutterings 'we have to take our chances' etc - stating the bleeding obvious but with no idea how to make it happen.

The squad has huge potential that just needs motivation.

The endless promotion of Schlupp and Ayew was his downfall.

One of the biggest criticisms labelled on Roy was his inability to get the best out of our attacking players so quite frankly it would be a bizarre appointment stop gap or otherwise. With our upcoming fixtures it's about getting someone in who can get the likes of Olise, Eze, Edouard and Zaha firing. Defensively we already look solid, so I don't see what Roy adds? He had runs almost as bad as Vieira's in his last two seasons as manager, but was saved by strong starts (sound familiar?!)

With the short time left we need a manager who can come in, lift spirits and try and breed confidence and also someone the fans and players can get onboard with. We don't have time to fanny about.
