I’m afraid relegation would a financial disaster for this club and we could even end up in league 1 or 2 like others who have failed to invest in their teams!

Then we would get what we deserve.......

For sure. But there was once a time when you could dream of becoming champions or winning the European cup however unlikely. No more...

Contrary to some posters, I thought Ayew was very very impressive.

Ward and Clyne also gave it everything,

There will be a silver lining if the younger players have learned lessons - eg the importance of concentration.

But we badly need a midfield leader.

Really? Whenever Ayew gets the ball in a forward position I get no feeling that he will do something (like i do with Zaha or Olise). He always overplays it and stuffs it up. The guy is selfish, there was a great chance to lay it off to Olise tonight but no Jordan Ayew wants the glory and tries to score himself. Piss poor

Terrible performance! The least ground covered by any PL team is a shocking stat. Too much showboating by Eze and Olise without doing the simple things well. And then, for the second home game running PV puts two centre forwards on rather than shoring up the midfield. Hughes doesn’t get a look in until it’s all too late, when he should start IMO in front of Schlupp. And, PV joking on the touch line with Conti made my blood boil. Time for major changes. Time to act Parish both in terms of investment in players and a change of team management.

55 years on the Palace rollercoaster!

I must admit last season was one of the most enjoyable. We were very good at home and even outplayed a few of the big boys. Great cup run as well.
This season our home form has been poor and the games we have won we have been fortunate to do so. Not sure what the answer is apart from an influx of signings.

Our next nine games we’re only playing one team in the bottom half and that’s Villa away. It will be a miracle if we’re not in the mix at the bottom after that. We need to come out of that run still capable of putting in a performance good enough to beat the bottom teams. That’s a tall order from what I’ve seen in our last two home games. The Bournemouth game doesn’t fool me they are awful.

Completely agree with this. We’ve gone backwards and to be honest, I can’t see Vieira being able to change it. What an earth he did during that World Cup period with a full squad god only knows

Heard the commentators say we hadn’t beaten a top half team all season so that bodes well

Thought we were the better side in the first half, second half the difference was Harry Kane.Once again in a big game Wilf goes missing,we need to pressure the top sides like Brentford do and not give them so much respect. We should have started with either Mateda or Edouard for the option for balls into the box.

Take a look at the replay. He was never aware that Olise was in a better position but fully concentrating on Wilfs' dribbling. You can say anything about him but selfishness is not one of his traits .....

It’s not working at all. One stat that really shocked me was that we are the lowest team in the league for distance covered by running. Doesn’t that equate to effort?

I think this is mainly down to the players on the pitch. Too many attack minded players who are good with the ball but very lazy without it. No pressure on the opposition that Gallagher gave us last season is making it too easy for the better teams.

Our midfield is a real concern, top teams are walking through us without any difficulty. Too much pressure on Doucoure and no support.

I think PV needs to rethink the starting 11 against top teams. Zaha, Eze, Olise, Sclupp and Ayew together sounds lovely but weakens our midfield strength too much and we get punished easily. It also then means we need to score at least 2 in every game to get a win or a draw, and scoring goals against the better teams is never easy without a brilliant striker that we can't afford to buy.

Time for a rethink PV, especially with the games coming up...

Some people are like Slinkies … not really good for anything, but you can’t help smiling when you see one tumble down the stairs.

Really enjoyed the first half , thought we were only a decent striker away from ending this as a match before the break

Second half was a shambles , misplaced passes , no tackles , defence all over the place .
Two halves were chalk and cheese

We are a team without a spine , we need a centre half who can regually win challenges , playing nice passes is a bonus ,first and foremost though they have to be destroyers of the other sides attackers ,niether of ours are .

Centre mid needs an action man who will get a grip of the game and of course a striker which we havn't had for about ten years

Apart from that I think we are great , just came up against a guy who came into form a month late ,
