Anyone think another ST is needed in January maybe someone like Bereton Diaz of Blackburn his contract is up in the summer so could be available for cheap.

And a DM is also a priority.

Our penny pinching during the transfer window when we bypassed several possible midfielders in the hope of getting Gallagher on the cheap and then failing to do anything is going to backfire on us unless PV comes up with a different solution.

Quite simply, teams have worked out our one dimensional tactic. They stick two defenders on each of our wide players in the knowledge we are not good enough to play through the middle.

We probably need to go 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-2, especially away from home and Doucoure needs to find some regular help.

We’ve got what? Four games until the January transfer window?

They need to line up at least 2 midfielders ready to come straight in ASAP and preferably those with a bit of energy and fight about them. If that is not forthcoming may as well write the rest of the season off.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Phew…be glad to get back to the car in one piece! Nothing more to say that hasn’t been said already. We sung, we encouraged, we hoped…but all in vein. In my opinion, worst performance of the season.

Anyway, home game on Saturday- so let’s hope with a few changes- back to winning ways!

LOL

Top 8 i'm realistic

That was a disgraceful result.

If this was a 1 off ok but over the past few games we are looking awful against teams that are very poor.

We haven't played well all season. Something is wrong.

Truly abysmal. Players will pick up injuries and suspensions during the course of the season and it just so happens that our main man was out for this game. Vieira didn't have an answer tactically. Which makes me wonder: what would Hodgson, Pulis, or Allerdyce have done in this situation? Play the weakest midfield possible in a lame 4-3-3 formation or pack the midfield with grafters?
I've been thinking that Vieira might not have the players he wants to be able to play the game he imagines in his head, but he is tactically incapable of making the best with what he has got.

The players must look at Veira’s team and set up and be equally baffled. I’m sure they are disillusioned. I acknowledge we are thin in midfield but there was no excuse for playing Milo on his own in central midfield. Ridiculous and we all called it before match. (Except one oddball Milo fan)

This is not just a defeat. And not just a humiliating defeat.

It is A RECIPE for ANY OPPONENT, who wants an easy win against Palace.

PV clearly haven’t a clue how to adjust.

We will go down - big scale.

Doucoure sorely missed

Been playing really well for Forest, not surprised as an experienced international .
Must have been worth another couple of years, in particular as we never looked like replacing him or Gallagher.
Didn’t understand and still don’t how we could have thought we could do without.

The worst performance I’ve seen for years. Didn’t think it could get much worse than Leicester but my god. Absolutely horrible performance from minute 1 onwards.

Really poor performance and not excused by just the absence of Doucoure.
It has been obvious for some time that Luka hasn't got the legs to play at this level and this is why so many were suggesting using two holding midfield players if Luka was involved.
I felt sorry for our back four as they had no protection.
If you don't give our flair players time or space and perform with aggression and direct play you have a good chance against us.
I saw Kouyate give a MOM performance v Liverpool today.
How we could have done with him or similar today.
He never stopped running or challenging which was noticeably absent from a number of our games this season.
It's great having skilful players, but you have to have a balanced team.
