You did, you backed brexit.

Haven't seen any cartoon.

Once again you have a blind eye for blatant anti semitism.

You always avoid the question of whether you accept the findings of the EHRC report on anti semitism in Corbyn's Labour party.

Haven't seen the cartoon ?

You hate this country so your " allegiance " is irrelevant.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

I'll stick with the Windsors (minus 'Sweaty Andrew' and 'Yankee doodle Hairy'). We've seen how our elected representatives behave and look after themselves and their cronies. An elected Head of State would be just another opportunity for someone to take the pi$$ at the highest level. On the other hand, I'd definitely vote for Roy when he's finished with us!

Like living in a palace, owning a £15bn real estate empire and generally living a life of opulence at the taxpayers' expense..?

Something like that would be taking the piss at the highest level.

Although I am a Republican the question is who would you vote for as a President (PM still has the power), Tony Blair or some Love Island Celebrity. The only name I could come up with who would represent this country with dignity and is not overtly political is Sir David Attenborough whose a bit long in the tooth.

Still at least if we had a President we wouldn't be subsiding the rest of the extended family.

What annoys me intensely is how the media has decided that there is a verb "to coronate" - as in "Charles will be coronated..", "the archbishop will coronate...". THERE IS NO SUCH VERB.
A monarch is CROWNED. The process by which a monarch is crowned is a CROWNING aka a CORONATION.

Thank you.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

I am with you 100%. It is the influence of the Americans in my opinion. Fraying our great language at the edges.

We don't pay for all of it but in any event do not ignore the income they create for the UK.
Remove Andrew and Harry and I am happy to pay.

There appear to be differing opinions

It can certainly be used as a verb in Latin

I shall reserve judgement pending YT defending his position.

I am not sure this argument is valid.

France has not had a monarchy for hundreds of years yet they get more tourists. How many visitors actually believe they will see the Royal family more likely they come to see the buildings and the crown jewels.

I find I am a half hearted republican I don't want a monarchy yet shudder at the alternative of some scumbag politician like Blair or reality TV star President Boaty Macboatface.

The monarchy is the best of a bad lot but Princess Ann is wrong they should reduce the working family to the King heir and spouses.
