Time to go, he's done his bit for us. Get after Sarr now and pay what's needed, stop f***ing around.

Can’t see Wilf, going unless Palace have some serious business of their own rubber stamped. Whether that includes a like for like is hard to say. As Wilf is a definite one off that would never be the easy option. But certainly some more quality introduced to the middle and forward part of the team.

And realistically, what fee would you get for a near-30 y.o with a year on a contract? Hudson Odoi will have a higher value, despite having stalled for 2 years.

If he is going to go to Chelsea, then we have no right footed winger, so Hudson-odoi as part of the deal or cash and then Sarr Hudon Odoi seems to be off to Bayern Leverkusen.

If Chelsea and Arsenal are both serious that would strengthen our position to play hard ball. If we can agree a deal that includes CG then I am ok with that. We have to accept his contract ends this season and we cant afford to get nothing for him. I love the player and wish him all the best. Would prefer to see him at Chelsea, just to see him finally get a chance to play in the Champions League, and also to give us a realistic chance in getting CG. Only issue then is who goes out wide for us in Zaha's place? Wrong side for Olise, and would be a shame to see Eze back out wide as he looks great in the middle. Ebiowei looks promising, but a lot to expect in his first season. Maybe Edouard can go wide, but not ideal..
Some people are like Slinkies … not really good for anything, but you can’t help smiling when you see one tumble down the stairs. |

I don't want him to go!He has been exceptional this season, leads us well and will demoralise CP if he goes,CG looked good while he was here, but he has come up short at end of last season and l don't think we need him now, certainly judging by the way he is performing at Chelsea.

As much as I like wilf, we've got to be realistic, at some stage he will not be here for some reason or another, we can't rely on him forever, to my way of thinking there is enough talent waiting in the wings to take his place albeit with a different attacking style to the way wilf plays,I'm sure that our style will be adapted to suit whoever takes his position, As I said at the beginning of post, we will eventually have to move on from wilf, no need to panic, we have lost good players before and new players will emerge, don't worry

Just caught a glimpse of the BBC 'Gossip Column' for Monday. It appears 'Chelsea interested in Zaha' is the top story. If the worst (IMHO) were to happen, I would/could only condone with a replacement winger lined up with the money and a couple Chelsea lads on loan, let's just say Gallagher and Broja for now.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

...or Chelsea offer CG and cash for Gordon from Everton? And then Gallagher will play under his big idol, Frank Lampard.

Just watched PV's post match interview. When asked how well Zaha is, PV was uncomfortable and replied that 'Zaha was not here' not that he was injured. So, I am pretty sure that we sadly won't see Zaha on the pitch again. He's going somewhere for sure IMHO. Palace are not going to lose $$$s by letting him for free. The money for Zaha is probably influencing the business they want to do prior to the window closing. Yes, I'll be very sad to see no Zaha anymore, but it's the best time for him to be let go. I'll be a lot sadder if they don't buy some decent recruits though.

The number of loans is limited to one from any Premier League club so it would be only be one of Gallagher or Broja on loan

Unless we were able to structure the deal to buy one & loan the other (however unlikely that may sound at the moment) Originally posted by Midlands Eagle
