Richards has played RB for Bayern., so could easily cover there. He is going to be a very good buy. IMO PV wants to try a back 3, Richards, Andersen and Guehi. Unfortunately we have not got the WB’s Out of current personnel you could play Ayew and Schlupp as wing backs, Olise, Doucoure, Hughes, Eze and Zaha up top or leave out Eze, move Zaha back to midfield and put Edouard up top. You are absolutely right though, our options are limited as I don’t think any of our current full backs can play in the wide role. Maybe the young left back (forgotten his name), but he looked decent going forward in the small amount of game time he had.

You do have to wonder if, when everyone is fit, with three players as skilled as Richards, Andersen, and Guehi we won't at least consider playing three at the back in which case the need for a traditional right back would presumably become less urgent. Or, alternatively, Richards might be at least tried at right back (where I believe he has some experience playing in the past) before we committed our limited transfer budget to that position. Agreed

Someone please prove me wrong here, but in recent times, has there been a striker, who was prolific at scoring in the Championship, or indeed lower leagues and could actually do it at the Premier League level?

Well, I did say recent times, so we can discount Glenn Murray, Jamie Vardy and Danny Ings. Jarrod Bowen has 25 goals in 107 appearances in the premier league, so not sure if he is "prolific". But yes, Ivan Tony agreed, good call, and Ollie Watkins too. Originally posted by Lanzo-Ad

We also need to bare in mind the endless big money foreign signings who come to the league and flop. The defenders are just getting better and better.

As per usual only posting that which I have stumbled across but there seems to be a few bits of speculation around a Palace 'interest' if not intent to sign this guy. Still someone I know little about but a couple articles for anyone interested.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Talk of Freedman stalking him for years. That seems quite a common theme. If he really has been hiding in the hedges with his notebook for so long you would hope that Dougie is convinced of his abilities to step up. We're surely a better bet than Bournemouth given their precarious position.
