Just watching GBO, the wife loves it. Channel4 really have ticked every possible box, but not sure there is a Black lesbian.

Most companies are at this for years now. Anyone who is not a white male is pushed up the company ladders, put on courses and ushered into leadership roles.

Positively ridiculous. In my experience, which is not going to represent everybody's of course, this happens in targeted bursts and is neither consistently or widely applied. Again, for me, it has led to negative business results and I still strongly believe damages or obfuscates that which ought to be addressed: the identification and removal of barriers and obstacles, such as prejudice or unconscious bias, to ensure this makes the proverbial playing field as even and effective as possible.

Always a chance to demonstrate your narcissism in bumping your own thread but this did cause a scratch of the cannister this morning: [Link] Now, I do 'get' the point being made but at what point can you say the great ol' British public are being quite deliberately lied to? Surely a demonstration of not only denying and hiding reality but also the attempt to establish a false narrative? I don't think either of those statements are incorrect and whilst I acknowledge there is some 'grey' in between it does make you wonder just what the entire extent is and the reasoning behind it?

So let me guess most TV adverts now feature non white actors which as only 12% of the population clearly over represents that population. However those same voices complain when it is a job advert for the prison service, they don't like diversity there. I just looked at some stats on how many black people are in prison. The actual answer is 4k out of a population 85k approximate figures. So not many black people in prison then err not quite that number is black British. You have to add onto that 11k "mixed" and then there is the 7k Asian plus there are others and odds and sods. In short it is not easy to quantify how many, it's funny how when in prison many claim to be mixed race but when they are victims they define themselves as black or POC. There are lies, damn lies and then there are statistics.
