They are in that horrible position where they will be hoping Watford and Burnley lose games

Well they have already lost 31 combined in the league so they could be in luck

I don't know why PV has changed the line up for such an important game. Play your best team! Has to be Guaita, and starting Eze is a mistake. It's important to secure the midfield base before anything, and Eze is lightweight in the tackling department.
Here's to the half time changes

Double B******s, he needs game time, he is light years our best player

TV making too much of the impact of the Andros injury. Ok it did give us a breather but the decision to go long for a bit and miss out their midfield press was the big factor. PV had a word with Mitchell during the stoppage and must have said go long for a bit.
Mateta is no Benteke when it comes to holding the ball up but he brought Eze, Zaha and Olise into the game. Everton are poor defensively and couldn’t cope with those 3 running at them. Great tactics. Well done PV and Palace!

They put so much into that opening 20 minutes as soon as they went one down the belief just evaporated.

The last goal was a fluke, I was convinced it was handball but what do I know? The keeper made an amazing save and yet not a single Everton player had the desire to back him up. Could probably say similar to the Olise one off the post, just an open goal on the follow up, no challenge of any substance.

I think the Newcastle game took a lot out of them so they tried to finish us off early and then control the game. If they had scored they might well have done that but you cannot keep that tempo up and Andros getting injured was the turning point after that they could not restart and it was all Palace.

Well done lads.

A chance to get a ticket for Wembley no hope for the final though as the FA need to invite 30,000 of their friends.

Poor Andros. I looked bad - cruciate.

I wish him all the best.

Brilliant, fantastic, still drinking in Speroni’s. John Salako leading choruses of ‘we’ve got Patrick Viera’ and ‘glad all over’. Lovely to see former players overjoyed at current performances.

I agree, plus they picked up where they left off for another two or three minutes... then we turned up.

Yeah, So you keep telling us!
After a shaky start we started to look composed and eventually took complete control. I guess the early 20 minute assault was all Everton had in their game plan.
Pleased for Eze, he came through fine, luckily he's yet to meet the dirty treatment dished out to CG and Olise, for example. Particularly impressed by his play for the Mateta's goal, and especially his reaction, which was class and shows what it means to him.

This was Everton's largest FA Cup away defeat for 111 years.

So how long before they sack Frank?

I missed the first 23 minutes so I didn't see Everton's early pressure. Looked all Palace from where I came in. A good solid performance.
