Hughes should have started in the first place regardless. Should have started four in the middle imo.

I think the evidence was there that the starting line up more than equipped themselves.

He should’ve brought Hughes on for Jimmy Mac not Eze.

School boy error, going to attack when would’ve been better to respect the point.

Watford win, Burnley win, Palace throw more points away. It ain’t looking good at the moment. Watford is a massive game and they will be buzzing.

Why bring Eze on when we were looking to secure a point? Hughes would have made more sense for the last 8 or 9 minutes.

Did you think we were going to beat or draw with Chelsea, who are World club and European club champions.
Hardly throwing points away, it was usual against Chelsea, we havent got anything off them for 5 years.

I think the results so far in 2022 already show we are in a relegation battle unfortunately.

Sadly I agree with you, we defended well today and were unlucky at the end, but the sad facts are we lost because we cannot score and two teams below us gained three points on us today which means it s going to be a very tight finish and no walk in the park as some seem to think!

Off the back of a really good performance and unlucky outcome against the current European and World Club Champions you come up with that - these "doomsayers" really get my goat..!!

Next thing I'll be hearing is look what Roy is doing at Watford..!!

You seen/compared our fixtures for the rest of the season against the sides around us - clearly not or you wouldn't have made that comment..!!

I can't help feeling some on here are just itching for us to fail/be in trouble..!!

Rant over..!!

Can’t blame any of the players - really thought we may snatch a late winner.

Watford on Wednesday is a big game! They will be really up for it - beating Villa today will give them a huge confidence boost.

Hopefully, those players rested today will get their chance…

play like we did today, and we will trounce teams in the bottom third of the table.

if only we could bottle the performance of the first 88 minutes today

But people have been saying that all season. The trouble with the theory is that we DON'T play like that against the lesser teams therefore we DON'T trounce them; we generally don't beat them!

OK but we're not beating those lesser sides are we?

I thought we were going to draw and we should have done. Yet again one of our full backs lost concentration at the end of the match and we gave away a goal against the run of play. Chelsea’s former achievements are irrelevant when it comes to this match. We were worse than them for 40 minutes, matched them for 30 and bossed them for the balance. Yes we deserved a draw but we failed to see the game out….again!

Just back from the match - what a choker! We held our own through the second half. I couldn't really see what happened with their goal - the cross seemed to float in the air and drop clear of our last defender before the Chelski whacked it in. Was the ball held up by the wind or did our last man just misjudge it?
Shame about Wilf's miss in first half added time. I thought the angle was very narrow until I saw the replay at half time. I really think he should have got it on target. Another one of those might-have-been matches that we keep getting against top teams.
Very disappointing indeed and now Wednesday looks massive.

Of course no-one realistically expected the team to beat Chelsea or even to draw with them, but when you are 0-0 with a minute to go and you then lose, then - yes - that is another point thrown away.

I'll accept the back four and to some extent the midfield accounted for themselves but up front... not one shot on target! I think PV overplayed his hand in the 2nd. half, I would have stifled the middle as much as possible with Hughes and Luka because they were walking it through late on.

I thought we were pretty good today, a lot of skill on show.
May I remind everybody we were playing the World Champions.
