I haven't ventured up t' north much in my life but did go to Burnley once. It was rather desperate. As for the beer? Give me Fullers or Harveys any day.

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.

Ok although I remember the Thwaites and Theakstons is also rather good up there.

The beatings will stop when morale improves.

I know this doesn't belong to a Match Thread, but it happened at the match. I refer to the minute's silence and the playing of the Last Post. I don't normally like these minutes of silence - there are too many of them - but this was appropriate, impressive and moving. And thank goodness nobody started shouting, as happened the other night at some ground (Villa v WHU, I think). Pity the Wolves manager had one hand in his pocket as he laid his wreath - not much class there. But I liked the Wolves fan who shouted out "Well done" when the silence ended.

The most satisfying thing for me yesterday was that we always looked comfortable and didn't look like conceding. We weren't IMO at our best and yet we had too much for a supposed in-form Wolves.

Furthermore, after our resilient comebacks against WH, Arsenal and Leicester, we're not beaten if we fall behind. Indeed, we are increasingly looking like a team that is hard to beat as the self-confidence of the team grows.

Finally, once again PV's substitutions showed a desire to stay on the front foot and Ayew's cameo in the final minutes in the corner was a joy to watch - that's how you see a game out!

I am thinking along the same lines -
Coach from the club at £30.00 leaves at 07.00 am which seems to be a bit early to take a train from Caterham to Selhurst so I will probably have to get the wife up to drop me at the ground -

I guess we wouldnt get back until around 23.00 ? so its going to be a long day - she isn't going to be happy, lol

I had a quick look at train tickets seems they are about £70.00 from Euston to Burnley.

If anyone has any pointers on this it would be good to know.

If points were awarded for diving and feigning injury, Wolves would be at the top of the Premier League.

I'd be embarrassed if our group of players behaved like that.

Wolves got exactly what they deserved - nothing.

Gallagher and Edouard caught the eye but it was a very solid team performance, with everyone playing their part.

It was a marvellous display yesterday. So much energy, so much commitment. Brilliant.

Gallagher again all over the pitch with a very solid defence and the usual threat from Wilf and Edouard.

We were better than a very decent, in form, Wolves team. Pundits take note. These teams are not just having a bad day, we are stopping them play.

The only thing that spoiled it was that bloody awful commentary from a female commentator and Glen Murray. Clueless.

They came for a point, which is testament to how far we have come, lot of Portuguese in the team with a manager who's the same, so no surprise really.

I was sat there at half time and said to my boys we will go on to win this. Have so much faith in Vieira, to push them on and go for the win, this could have been a draw in the past.

Exciting times, we bought brilliantly in the summer, and Ward and McArthur have gone to another level. No exaggeration to say we should be 5th by now.

Yes, indeed, I tell my Chelsea mate we only want the biggest club in the world in cup finals or whats the point? He don"t like it.
