I think that it's you that read it the wrong way as it was as plain as day what tom was saying. Only the mods will know whether someone reported it or whether they were moderating proactively but if anyone did report it, it won't be anything to do with race but solely because of the language that was used It’s plainly obvious what he meant. Not that I took any offence or reported it. All I wanted was an apology for something that you quite easily proved I hadn’t said.

But did you apologise to me for saying on here multiple times that I was a member of PA? If you want purity from others practice it yourself.

They really do make the most refreshing tea.....well, obviously they don't actually make it. I tip my hat to your apology though....even though I didn't require it....it being more fun poking you over it. Edited by Stirlingsays (14 Jul 2021 10.15pm)

But it would almost feel like betraying my flat cap.....If I brewed one up I'd have to take it off the stand and hide it in the cupboard.

My wife drinks all sorts of different herbal teas and can report they are all f*cking disgusting.

Camomile is good for a bed time drink helps you sleep. Lemon and Ginger during the day livens you up, Sage is a particular favourite. I don't go for the berry teas. That said my personal favourite is still a builders tea.

Since you said this it has rung true, but both in terms and Tom and madcap. It's half-hearted to herald a persons colour only when they're in total agreement with you. Madcap may have been provocative, but the 'by numbers' barreling in by several was unfortunate, and the idea that he was a 'racist' and everyone else contributing was fairminded was not based in reality or reason. If anyone involved had displayed perspective in that conversation, it wouldn't have taken the turn it did. There's something to be said for truly engaging, rather than being 'in with the in crowd' even if there is a cost to opting out of it. Comfort is just that, and consideration and character inevitably take a back seat as result. Edited by BlueJay (17 Jul 2021 5.30am)

I read the last few pages of that thread and wish I hadn’t. It appeared to simply be an argument between white men - telling everyone else (including black posters) what racism is or isn’t, resorting to calling others racist if they didn’t agree but without actually paying any attention or conceding to the perspective of others or of those that have actually lived it and experienced it.
