No, i was just going to mention the donkey rides at christmas, going down the slope at the back towards frith road, and i would have been 2 in 66, so went on betond 66 basically, maybe to 70 at least, but at christmas.

kennards, grants & Allders.
propr old school dept stores.
Allders met a sad end but was pretty decent in the 70s.
my brother worked in the white goods / electricals dept.
On a friday night they had a staff disco & sometimes cabaret night (bob monkhouse performed there-very blue!)
what a daft idea having a staff pish up the night before your big trading day, saturday.

Kids, tired of being bothered by your pesky parents?
Then leave home, get a job & pay your own bills, while you still know everything.

Yes, great place, if only to look at the train sets and scaelectric stuff, and old military stuff from the war. Also used to be on the advert for the local cinema.

I bought an old WW2 gas mask bag from the swap shop, and a safari jacket. I was very much part of the swinging 60s.

This disco was in Purley.
Some of the ladies were rather easy on the eye, but alas some looked as rough as a dingo's paw.

Cinderella's was a class joint and I used to frequent it regularly back in the late 1980's early 1900's. I remember two girls fighting one night. Me and my mates separated them and I ended getting off with one of them! Great memories... wonder what became of her...

Yes, great for all that war stuff, if only to look at, and lots of trench coats, you could get lucky to find one with a bullet hole in!(I made that bit up)

I told her she can"t have the good looking bloke every night, took the other lucky girl home and pointed the heartbroken lass in your direction!

I recall frequenting 'Scarlets' from time to time, which at the time was the haunt of a few of our players.

There were quite a few ladies who were rather easy on the eyes, with gyrating hips on the dance floor.

Sydenham Hill in 1952. What was the garage, in later years became The Dulwich Woodhouse pub.
