As long as Nikkoletta our Rumanian No.10 cleaner is still there to run the country, things will be fine.

We’ve seen a creep of metrics from deaths, then when deaths aren’t too high, hospitalisation. Then when they aren’t too high, cases & long covid.

Long covid is not proven and in no way should be used as ballast to support a ruinous lockdown.

Life of walls for 1% vs life of debt for 99%. This economic approach cannot continue, we’ve already run out of money.

I really can’t disagree with anything you say here. I just don’t understand the necessity for project fear when we are close to being financially ruined.

The current restrictions expire on 2nd December but of course we do not know if they will continue in their current form.

There has been mention of the possibility of a return to the 'Tier' system but of course restrictions within tiers could be modified to be more draconian than previously.

I believe there is a growing band of people who believe that if 'Lockdown 2' is lifted prior to Christmas, there will be 'Lockdown 3' early in the New Year.

R needs to be below 1.

And she will have given BJ many BJ’s and he will have pumped her all over the place on viagra and not considered any Covid matters until he’s in meetings. Would make Monica Lewinskey seem like nothing. Of course she gets pregnant with twins.

There is a disparity amongst various bodies as to the actual "R Rate" which of course varies from area to area.

One's brow can be crinkled with perplexity perusing the plethora of differing statistics.

If people started to realise how much they’ll pay for this or were told then they might start pushing back. Does everyone want to pay per mile they travel in their cars or vans? Maybe comfortable work from homers. It won’t be just because of pollution.

'Average'. Nice way to condemn people to a life of walls. This isnt specific. They could actually live a lot longer or be a lot younger. Long covid isnt just for the old,in fact it appears primarily for the young. Maybe their bodies are ripe for long term issues. In which case they may never get to that 'average' age.

I think the posters focus was more on a life of walls for those who were formerly economically active and driving the economy to generate tax revenue to care for the elderly than f**k em they're old let em die.

Here’s a mind bending stat for you. Average age of coronavirus victims in the UK 82.4 years. Average life expectancy in UK = 81.5.

I’d say this presents a clear case for not needing lockdowns at all, and especially not lockdown 2.0.

We’re spending hundreds and hundreds of billions to prop up people who are going to die of something else very soon anyway. A controversial view no doubt, but it’s backed up by the stat above.

Future generations may well benefit from all the resources being thrown at this virus.

I look forward to a 'Zoom' meeting tomorrow evening with my plethora of Conservative devotees (And arch Brexiteers) as we discuss the recent events in Downing Street and the Brexit negotiations.

I suspect the meeting will be quite protracted with a lot of "Like minds" in attendance!

See you there chum! Can't wait to catch up with Horace and the lads.

For those of you wondering what our esteemed Willo looks like that's him top left on our last Zoom call.

Pip pip!

Highly unlikely we’ll need another lockdown. Increasingly the data is showing this one is unnecessary. R is trending down and this is nothing to do with lockdown as we need to wait 23 days to see the impact of that.

Excess deaths are low, herd is being reached, covid is going away. If it was politically acceptable I believe the data supports cancelling this second lockdown now. Of course, it will not happen.
