See the club have officially stated there will be a minutes silence before our match today. No link but it is on official webpage.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Labour are right as tory austerity has meant severe cuts to police and support services. The voters knew that when they voted for them, its no good crying wolf now. The Blair years had a successful policy 'tough on crime and its causes', it worked. But its not a question of one horrific isolated incident, things have to be seen in the round. Without austerity in the past you would have had no furlough or financial help during this crisis. Think about where we would be now.

This thread is under a the 'News/Politics' section of the messageboard. There are separate sections for 'Football Talk' and also 'Palace Talk'. Not much politics chats on those if you're looking to avoid it. As a Croydon resident since 2010, I can honestly say I've never experienced or witnessed and violent crime. Like any big town on the London outskirts it obviously goes on but it's certainly not common place like some seem to think. There's been a lot of modernisation to Croydon, there are some terrific bars on and around Surrey Street (Mr Fox, Dog & Bull, Arts & Craft bar, Green Dragon), further south you've got The Store & Treehouse. There are a few decent restaurants in South Croydon. I will admit the shopping centre is going backwards, but its still got most of your main high street stores if you need to get anything. I suggest a night out down there when we're back to normality and your opinion may differ. Croydon's alright.

We know the Labour party have no credibility whatever. They are desperate for votes and will say or do anything to get them. Never forget Brexit and what those scumbags tried to do. I think knocking the labour party or any other party apart from the party that have been in power for over 10 years is laughable, when are the CONservatives and their followers going to accept they are in charge and thus are responsible- no offence but it"s so lazy blaming a party that have not had any power for 10 years, take responsibility CON servatives please, and start trusting in your leader of men, boris!

Countries are constructs made on pieces of paper. New Zealand was colonised by the British, who are genetic northern European indigenous to these islands. They are part of the anglosphere and our cousins. How can you make a big deal about foreigners when you don't even fly an English or British flag? Anyway this type of discussion feels kind of unseemly on this thread. Edited by Stirlingsays (26 Sep 2020 4.19pm)
