He'll be good for us, if he signs great, if he doesn't plenty more players out there. Too suggest he's a mercenary is unfair. When Michy joined Chelsea, let's not forget we met the price tag. but couldn't match what Chelsea were prepared to pay him. The prospect of Champions League and trophies and shed loads of cash was better than what we could offer. We've seen how good he was for us for 6 months but to get a player who initially turned us down is going to cost us many millions plus a hell of a lot more in wages. Chelsea won't let him go for peanuts. Whatever we are offering Fraser per week is going to be a fraction of what Michy would demand. Of the two one knows how to play in the premier league one is a squad player, one's wages are reasonable one's are excessive, one is free? Who do you choose? As I understand it, Fraser is a goalscoring wide player, and Bats is more of an out and out striker? I think we need both. Whether Bats is the most cost effective striker we can find I don't know. There were a few rumours about Mateta, which seem to have died down a bit. Either would cost a lot of dosh, and have high salary demands...And there's still Watkins out there who hasn't signed for anyone yet?

Currently trending on Twitter after the Telegraph put up a story saying that he has reportedly told Steve Bruce that he wants to join Newcastle to be closer to Scotland.
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

He was happy enough in Brighton for a few years! Sounds like he is still bargaining for the best salary deal? It would then be up to Palace to come back in with a higher offer?

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Once we signed Eze were we ever really after Fraser? To me it seemed more like a back up option if we couldn't push the Eze deal through. If Wilf stays we have three players who can play on the left, arguably more successfully than Fraser. I'm sure he'll do fine at Newcastle, but I'd much rather have Eze.

To be honest, I'd prefer us to go the QPR lad or someone similar - smaller wages and more future value.

Eze is CM and Fraser out and out wideplayer?

Not sure about that. Eze is CM and Fraser out and out wideplayer? I was under the impression Eze's most effective position is in the middle of the park. Would like to of had Fraser too but if not we definitely need a winger, Zaha and Townsend has run its course and no real alternatives as it stands. A lot of reports saying Fraser has agreed terms but is still 'waiting for a better offer'. To be honest, I'm really not sure if there is any truth in these!
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Or maybe waiting for a better offer to use as leverage to increase the Palace offer. No doubt the Agent is enjoying him or herself but Fraser will have a preferred ultimate destination which is not necessarily the one indicated by the agent.
