With Watford having no time to replace him I imagine they will want their asking price or no deal. It is only about 10 weeks until January after all.

The issue with waiting is that we might be priced out. Good tactic to wait last last minute and see if you can save 5m. We ain’t paying 40m for him. Palace love an unrealistic add on. Get a few of those in there. “Rising to 40m if we do the league and champions league double”

It’s been reported that Watford have laughed off our bid which is allegedly a minimal fee up front with a total fee rising to £25 million.

2nd bid was all in £32m including addons. I don't think it's enough for Watford to part with their asset.
