This strikes me as odd. I suspect we will get Gallagher in because the Batshuayi business if reports are correct are crazy? With the players they have signed it’s obvious they Bats has no future at Chelsea and with one year left on his contract there is no chance they would loan him unless he extends their contract. Would hope Bats wouldn’t take them up on the offer of a one year contract with a slight pay rise as their only interest is to try and sell him next year

Both he and Eze will get goals from midfield and when we actually get some fit strikers...they might add a couple of goals each...

As is often stated (rightly) on this site, it's nailed on only when we see the player holding up the shirt and saying how much he's looking forward to playing for us. If we don't have another striker option then I can understand the club wanting to change their mind about which Chelsea player to bring in on loan. Edited by doombear (06 Sep 2020 5.35pm)

Edited by doombear (06 Sep 2020 5.35pm) According to Dazza, Gallagher passed his medical last Sunday, and will be announced after the next under 23 game. We then can't back out if he has signed on loan, just because we fancy taking a different player from them on loan. Chelsea then got to find another suitable club for him to join on loan.

Rumour is that Leeds want Gallagher, so if everyone is happy a switch from Gallagher to Batsuayi is quite possible. We don't know the truth of it; we can only wait and see.

Yes, I have more experience and knowledge than anyone else talking here or on rhe Palace board (former player or not). I too have played competitive football in my youth and regularly discuss transfers with the President of a football club which was involved in the Champions League in 2013 and is now reorganizing in the 3rd division. I've written the following and have been right in 99% of cases. If proof of the future is not enough, then I don't know what is. And some of my older threads, where you can see how things developed: And if you want to see them all, I made a compilation. It might seem like child's play, but I urge you to actually analyze it through until the end and you will see that it is in fact a proof of making money like no other.

My point is he passed his medical and signed on loan last Sunday, then what? We give him back to Chelsea? We knew all along Batman plays for them, so why go for Gallagher? Unless we were never in for him in the first place, in which case people might refrain from posting trollocks on this site, Maybe I'm gullible to a certain extent, but I asked my Charlton work colleagues what they thought of Gallagher, as Palace have just signed him on a season long loan.

I would understand if I had been talking crap, but with the present to back up what I said in threads very old... calling me "in my own mind" would mean that there were others working for Premier League clubs who knew better...in everyone's minds
