There’s a hell of an overhaul needed with our squad and I can see Parish and Freedman now thinking there’s an issue with Roy. All speculative of course but a couple of the accounts on Twitter that have alluded to this appear credible.

If that is the case what on Earth is going on ? Why are we negotiating for somebody the manger doesn’t want ? Surely it’s the first question in the process ...does the manager want him ?

Twitter the font of bullish-t. If we loan out Wickham, I can see this going through, if Wickham stays, it won’t. Wickham wages saving would offset a good percentage of Carrascos wages.

Only if they manage to get on the pitch

What would the financial difference be?

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

It’s normally in the region of £1.2m per place in the league. Not a massive amount but a good finish vs a bad one can be worth a half decent player every season.

This i get, my Q? Was, what would be the financial difference be IF we signed said players, to moving 'up' a couple of places in the league.

Each window there are romours of such signings, everyone gets a tad excited, then bang " O we tried but couldnt get it over the line."

As long as we have the owners we have we will do one of 2 things.

1, Stagnate in the middle of the table playing unattractive football ie defending with 10 men and hoping to catch teams on the break. Keep getting players in on loan
2, Drop out of the prem lose our so called star players and spend a few seasons in the championship.

Don’t forget the third thing.

3. Drop out of the prem lose any potential young players spend one season in the championship and get relegated to league 1.

I'll take it a step further and say, not just doing a Sunderland but also, possibly, a Bolton. However, whilst we are in the Prem, I, for one, intend to enjoy it (even if through gritted teeth at times)
