Jess Phillips, for all her brashness was a huge Remainer and only ever got coverage because she made for good telly.

She was always good value on Have I Got News For You

Fantastic telly. Always good for a quote, gave the London based media a chance to show off how they were really down with the North but ultimately all fur-coat and no knickers as my old Northern Nan used to love saying.

Nothing more than political froth. The fact that she has even put herself up for leadership speaks more for her instinct for self-publicity than any genuine chance of winning it. Essentially she thinks she can trade her votes in exchange for a high profile role because ultimately our Jess loves the limelight. Reckon those TV lights have dazzled her.

Good stratagy by Clive Lewis to say Brexit voters were racist (even though that includes some of his own family) and then when he didn't get support in his campaign he blamed that on everyone being racist.
I'm very surprised that he didn't get enough backing from Labour supporters!

Rebecca Long Bailey now installed as favourite

Not really a surprise there is still a big disconnect between Labour MPs and party members.

Apparently though Emily Thornberry is not liked!

Happy days! If you want a prediction based on nothing much more than a sort of gut instinct that I cannot articulate, if RLB wins, then I can see Labour splitting. Not sure how that might pan out but essentially she is the Corbyn protege and I suspect that Labour simply cannot survive anymore of that brand of left wing politics.

Rebecca Long-Bailey. Lisa Nandy.

Would. Individually or together.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Doesn't RLB share a flat with the Angela Rayner you may find she's not into men.

And the feeding frenzy starts

RLB may be in trouble with the left over her views on abortion.
