I have not had the time to see the match on TV so I am relying on my naked eye.Abject defending at the corner with Soyuncu getting a free header in front of goal running past both Cahill and Tomkins. Our midfield are all workhorses but don't have that creativity, unlike Leicester who were far more dangerous in the final third. In the second half we took the game to them and started to push them back after they scored but then Hodgson decided to change shape and bring on Benteke and Meyer, two players who have been poor for us, they added nothing and no sooner were they on when we lost momentum. Another goalless game at home for us - I suspect there will be quite a few more of them.

Anyone watching on sky, can you let me know if Evans's tackle on Kouyate could have been a red. From where I was it looked quite high and reckless he went in too fast and hard and carried through, but his feet weren't high and he got the ball - but I only figured that with the action replay, in real time it looked worse than it was

A dont think he is a bad player, just not for us.If we could offload, I would.

Beaten by a hard working team today, they closed us down when they needed to and broke at speed from their own half of the pitch. They seem to have an extra yard of pace than us and their crossing and passing was far better than us too. When we did have a chance it was wasted by PVA, I thought he had a very poor game indeed... Leicester are a classy, skilful team on the up and up under an excellent manager and at least we didn't do a Southampton.

So glad I decided not to use my ST and stayed home sweeping up leaves. After the Man C game I could only see this going one way at Selhurst. Ayew off for Tekkers, Schulp masquerading as a PL footballer. Our bench has zero depth coupled together with a midfield so ponderous it makes home games as dull and predictable as they have become. If only we could play at the Emirates every week.

The Leicester players just seemed happier... Smiling, joking and clearly enjoying their football. Not sure Zaha ever broke his sullen look all game. Hasn't looked happy all season. Really does look like he's just putting in the bare minimum, waiting around until he gets his Champions League move in January. Might be in for a rude awakening there because he's hardly going to grab anyone's attention moping around.

Average age of both teams Leicester 25years Palace 29years and it showed PVA a a waste of space slow into the tackle slow in covering his space and jogging back when ball was lost, I can`t remember any forward ball from the midfeild which led to a forward shooting at goal , the midfield are just stoppers with no creativity while Wilf had a couple of Wilf movements, but seemed to be going through the motions and as for Jeff Schlupp totally in affective. I agree with previous comments that Roys game plan against most teams is soak up the pressure for the first 60 minutes and hope we get an attack that leads to a goal , could someone please tell Roy goals win matches, this team is going backwards and perhaps its age is now starting to show at the edges.

You can't talk about the limitations of the players on one hand and suggest Hodgson isn't letting them show their attacking talent on the other

Might be a case of Meyer needing games in the PL to get used to the physicality and pace of the PL but he doesn't get any as we cannot fit him into the side as we cannot afford that luxury. When I saw Benteke and Meyer introduced I had NO confidence whatsoever that they could turn the game around for our side.We were worse when they came on.

Meyer has been a big disappointment. He lost the ball three or four times in the short time he was on the field. Brushed aside too easily. Leicester are a good team (albeit an irritating one), I thought we more or less matched them until they scored but we never looked like getting back into it once they had.

They spent nearly £100 mill in pre-season but sold Maguire for around £80 Mill so their net spend wasn't that much in PL terms.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |
