Age yes, talent? No.

How's it defeatist anyway? Sticking with a powerleague player just because he's young is ridiculous.

He has got age on his side to improve, but we aren't a club that can afford to pay £9m on that off chance.

I can only comment on what I have seen and I didn't see even modest signs of improvement in last Tuesday's friendly.

At the very least he could try to play with some passion - even Calvin Andrew did that !

We need to ship him out on loan again if we can't sell him, and I think we will before the season starts

Needs to stay in England. Going to a league abroad will show us nothing/if he’d scored 50 at Genk, what would we know from that? Saw one of his goals , had more room than he’d get at park football over here. . If he goes on loan, send him to the championship, will liven him right up. Sink or swim.

He's a tall lad as well Casual. Might be ok with a hawk & trowel?

i thought i was quite clear christopher...he has literally only played a few hundred minutes worth of 1st team football since joining, basically the odd 15 minute cameo from the bench...i cant imagine its easy making the step up from dizzy heights of the danish league to the PL.

like others have said, loan him to the championship and hope he develops there for a season.

He was the manager once. He left for 'bigger' things. Not sure why we wanted him back.

None of us really know if Dougie Freedman is solely responsible. He may well be producing targets all the time, but Steve Parish won't agree to the fee or the management are not interested in the player, who knows?? How much clout does Dougie have?
