It’s hard to take anyone’s opinion seriously who thinks Catford is in Kent

It was prior to the London County Council formation.

So was Charlton and Greenwich etc, but you’d have to be about 200 years old to remember it

Having read through this thread seems to be a theme developed
Namely Kent especially along the Thames estuary..
Must admit from my limited experience of that area I can understand
why.

I agree, I quite like Hythe as well and there’s some lovely rural villages all over the county.

I used to like Brighton, the town (late 80's, early 90's). Antique shops in the Lanes, the Palace pier, pleasant eateries and drinkeries. The Thistle hotel.

Just spent an afternoon/evening in Brighton this weekend. It has disappeared up its own @r5e.
24hour drink stores with metal grills and covered in graffiti. chicken shops and nail bars. Curiosity shops with over-priced tat.
As the evening drew in, there seemed about 50% of the population were homeless and drinking themselves senseless in shop doorways. Cyclists with no lights speeding through pedestrian areas.
Doormen on all the pub entrances, with staggering groups of Hen and Stags drinking themselves into fighting/shagging mode.
spent two hours at the theatre, sitting on really poor seats that gave me a really sore @r5e.
Left the theatre early and made my way to the multi-storey car park. Needed to swipe my ticket to get into the place through the security door. A bloke and a prostitute were in front of me at the pay machine. £4.50 for 2 hours parking 7pm-9pm, and then you had another set of security gates to get your car out through.
And even the Thistle hotel and changed to a Jury's Inn.

Brighton has become the new Fort Neef, just with a more cosmopolitan population. I have no idea why it is lauded for its green ethics (it has a Green MP), because traffic and parking are a nightmare. Or why celebrities associate themselves with the City - Chris Eubank, Zoe Ball, Fatboy Slim.

And yes, I left Brighton with a sore @r53, but thankfully that was only due to concrete theatre seats

Spent the day in Deptford working on a flat that used to be a brothel.

What a sh@thole. This place makes my list.

Have made my top five. Interested to hear other peoples opinions.

Counting down..

5, - Crawley - New town, soulless and full of chavy English, chavy Poles and chavy Indians. The biggest building in the town is the Police station which says it all.

4, Tulse Hill - Gangsters walking around tooled up. School kids walking around tooled up. teachers probably walking around tooled up. Bunch of scum bags. Not safe and f@ck all to do there.

3, Horsham - Full of w@nkers. Everyone looks the same, thinks the same and votes the same. They all live in there sh@ty Barrett houses with their company car on the drive thinking they have made it. Tw@ts.

2, - Any of the Medway towns - basically Crawley by the sea but without the transport links.

1, - New Addington - Well just because its New Addington

Not a fan of Crawley though. Or Three Bridges.

Where is Meadway? Gillingham and Chatham are not anywhere near the sea by the way.

Didn't Chatham used to have a dockyard? Global warming eh!

Nearby Wick is not much better.

Good fish and chips though, just avoid the town centre

Croydon is proper sh@t these days. Can’t deny it. I live in the posh part nowadays with all the well to do Indians.

Still prefer the place over where you live though. Proper bunch of middle class c@nts.
