My initial reaction too, compounded by various pundits' response.

Then it struck me that I'd seen the self same thing not given (no VAR) against Ramos. The Spanish media all said it was a trick of his that he generally gets away with - use your arms to make yourself bigger then turn away to make any hand ball look accidental. The giveaway is the eyes.

Last night, Kimpembe did exactly that & if you watch in slo-mo he's looking at the ball & following it's path right up until he can no longer physically do so.

The thing that convinces me it was the right decision though is the fact that Clattenburg says it was wrong.

Edit: Forgot to say, all those pundits I've seen say "no pen" are those against VAR anyway.
