Muscat had this effect when he did play for us (he played all kind of positions for us). He used to anger many of the fans then. He's still at it now by the looks of things.

Whilst Muscat did play as a right centre back in a back 3 he never played centre back for Palace in a back 4 as he was a natural fall back rather than a natural centre back. Whilst physically he could play there height would have been an issue plus the fact the timing of his tackles were terrible and had he been a proper centre back I dread to think about how many penalties he would have given away.

Well, you did call me a liar on multiple occasions. I found that deeply insulting. I didn't call you a liar, I challenged your statement that you called SP personally to remain in your seat as a fib, which I stand by. I said that Argile Old boy's statement regarding Hodgson was insane and ridiculous (not he himself) and on reflection I can appreciate why he might have taken that as an insult and so apologised, as is appropriate. There's a lot of people on here who confuse opinion with facts. It might not be liked, but I am correct. Whether he played makeshift RB for us on a maximum of 20 occasions in the 96/97 season when Gordon was injured and Edworthy shuffled to LB, he is well documented, and listed across the internet, as a centre back.

''I have only used the term whopper once to challenge a post very unlikely to be true, which is as strong as I've been.'' Or to paraphrase, you think it unlikely I told the truth. Nothing like calling me a liar now is it?

Nothing like calling me a liar now is it? Just because you told one fib, it doesn't make you a liar in my book. I appreciate that people say silly things when they're losing a debate. Quite why you've been so obsessed with my posts ever since is slightly more concerning but I'll take it as flattery until it becomes truly stalker-like, such as trawling through tens of pages of posts of a locked and long forgotten thread to quote me... I still feel Joel Ward's contribution over his time at Palace is still under rated. AWB has the pace to get himself out of trouble but his distribution, although improving, is not at the same level as Ward's. Wards pass to Schlupp that lead to the opening goal against Spurs shows his great awareness he has when going forward. Extremely reliable and I think whoever played in front of him always benefitted from his astute distribution particularly Wilf and Bolaise. Defensively very strong and if had a bit more pace he would have also not looked out of place in the England team. Joel Ward never lets anyone down, very reliable.

Edited by ChrisGC (08 Feb 2019 6.52pm) On your bike. You just called me a liar again, whatever silly little words you choose to use. I don't have an obsession with you, your posts are just consistently stupid and unpleasant. I don't know why you choose to make it so, you are clearly not stupid. I can only guess you came on here to create as much noise as possible, I guess you like attention. And by the way, other than the words you keep choosing to put into my mouth which I did not say, I have not lied. You are welcome to come and visit me in Block E next season should you wish.

I said I thought you were fibbing when you said you'd called Steve Parish directly and asked not to be moved. Probability wise, this is likely a fib. I don't tend to go to Selhurst park much amymore barring the occasional (once or twice a season) hospitality ticket given the distance and other commitments, but I do get to away games quite a bit. Happy to meet up for a pint if you get to away games yourself, otherwise I'll give you notice of when I'm next at SP.

As has been pointed out so many times by others and not just me...you are Sooooo not! You’re statements and the irony of the comments in your post (picked upon immediately by Only 10 a year) are priceless and one could almost feel sorry for you. You stick blindly to typing your own sentence over and over, ‘He was a Centre Back’ whislt ignoring what others have told you, the video clips of him playing on the internet (some even linked to this thread) The fact that he played at Full back for virtually every other club in his history and now conveniently, since I posted the full history of his squad numbers, you say they aren’t relevant either! I would strongly suggest in the days when Muscat was playing then Squad numbers were completely relevant and the fact he was always assigned Number 2 (Not 3/4 or 5) again speaks volumes. In answer to your other accusation I clearly stated that whislt maybe ‘not the best’ he was certainly effective, as no one liked playing against him. It’s all there for everyone to see so again, as others have said, stop trying to give a false impression of what other forum members have posted.
