Hodgson has worked with him before and was even turning him into a passable imitation of a striker! If Zaha or Townsend got injured it would be useful to have him on the bench

And we need a goal scorer.

Of course I'd love us to sign someone more inspiring. However, I was really disappointed when he left. I really liked the look of him when he played, particularly in a more central role rather than out wide. I think he could do a job up front for us if required. Have a nasty feeling that this will be our only attacking signing although I hope that I'm wrong!

According to the guardian its a done deal. Once again, please consider our current best candidate as an impact sub is Jeff Schlupp. I would put BakSak on ahead of Jeff Schlupp. Full stop. We need options, he is an option and at times he has looked very handy for us. Get him in the door, we need options on the bench.

I was at the important Burnley match last year when Sako scored the only goal of the game and looked dangerous throughout. Not better than what's on the market, but better than most anyone we have on the bench. I'm fine with having him back.

And you wouldn't be concerned that he can't get a start for West Brom? 30 grand on the bench.

I'd rather have Sako on the bench than Punch, Williams or Kaikai. He didn't sign till with WBA till October, so he's probably only recently getting match fit. He knows the club and we know what he offers, a decent (and free) signing, that could provide decent cover IMHO.
