A great morale boost for West Indian cricket. For the good of the sport though Cricket could benefit from a strong competitive Windies team. That said, has been poor captaining from Root which also seems to have affected his batting. One test to go, could be a black wash!

Two matches and two drubbings....It's going to be an interesting last match.

Utter toilet yet again. WTF has happened to them? Supposedly great team, going to win the Ashes, expected to win in the West Indies and then go out there and get thrashed twice. Haven't even competed. And it's the West Indies FFS, not pakistan. The most pathetic series display since the Assie whitewash.

Whilst I don't disagree, maybe we are not giving the Windies the credit they deserve instead of just blaming England. There's a chance, maybe a small one, but a chance this is the start of a very good West Indean team.

I agree. to much talk of how England were poor etc. England tried but we're simply outplayed in Barbados and Antigua by the brilliant Windies We are on the way back, not there yet but on the right path. Jason Holder now ranked the world's best all rounder.Boooom.

I am starting to wonder if Root is the right man to be captain. Never thought he was captain material to begin with in all honesty but he got the job by default due to the lack of options. Now that Butler is back in the fold I would like to see him given the captaincy as he seems our most intelligent and inspiring player even if he hasn’t shown it in this series

Think Stokes is a good shout but he must have ruined his chances after his assault trial even if he was not guilty. Wouldn’t be adverse to Eoin Morgan getting it as long as it didn’t affect his one day captaincy. With Baylis leaving after the Ashes big changes could be happening

Rooty has been developing very well, recent big wins over India 4-0 and Sri Lanka 3-0 away. Not many test captains have done that, if any. England have been ambushed here, West Indies suddenly look a totally different team, if they are back who knows but it is actually welcome. Would have to see them on decent 5 day wickets to know better, we shouldn't see the pitch breaking up on the third day in a test match.
