I think it is absolutely disgusting that Nantes are asking for part of the transfer money from Cardiff aIready, God almighty haven’t they got any feelings. I bet Warnock is having a right fit. It really does go to show that Nantes football club think more of money than human life.

Slightly cynical why private conversations between Nantes and Cardiff have entered the public arena. I imagine there will be some wrangling over the 15 million. Not that I think Nantes demands so soon after the tragedy are particularly sensitive...

The pilot shouldn’t have been taking this flight for any reason - his licence was for daylight hours flying only- no instrument rating. There is a massive can of worms about to be opened over this accident for all sorts of reasons.

It really does go to show that Nantes football club think more of money than human life. Mrs YT said something similar to me yesterday. I explained to her that "a deal is a deal" therefore Nantes are absolutely entitled to the money, in the same way that Cardiff were absolutely entitled to take out life assurance on the player from the point of purchase. Why should Nantes be punished financially because their then ex-player chose such a dubious way to travel to his new job? (I asked Mrs YT, rhetorically). I sympathise that the timing wasn't great, but as other posters have commented, why has this financial matter between two businesses been made into a news story in any case? It's got nothing to do with anybody other than the two parties involved.

can anyone claim on the life assurance until a death cert is issued? That will depend on the contract between the insurer and the insured, but in theory “yes”.

If I buy a Ferrari and write it off on the first bend I come to, does that mean I don't have to pay the installments? Of course not. It's a tragedy, but Cardiff
