Nothing to lose for us really and should be a great atmosphere. See you all on Saturday. fantastic effort. I've had a snoop on your fishy forum and you seem like a good bunch. hope you have a really fantastic day. numbers like that will make for a sensational atmosphere in the Arthur Wait stand, which has a very low, deep roof and as such has great acoustics.

Anyone who plays on Saturday will become cup-tied. Presumably Roy won’t play anyone he is prepared to release in the January window for fear of reducing the player’s value to any prospective new club.

If Grimsby are bringing up to 6,000 fans what's the total attendance likely to be?

me too give the 2nd 11 a run out Originally posted by kenbarr
I'd like to see wholesale changes for this one, with Hennessey, a back 4 of Ward, Kelly, Dann, Schlupp with Meyer and Wickham starting as well. If Luka picked up his fifth booking is he suspended for this match or Watford? Edited by johnmcormick8 (04 Jan 2019 12.57pm)

I admit to a soft spot for Grimsby because my grandfather, who lived in nearby Louth, was a fan. I wish we had a goal scorer like the legendary Mariners striker Matt Tees who seemed able to put the ball in the back of the net at will I only saw Tees play once when Charlton thrashed us 3-0 in an FA Cup match at Selhurst. I’ve never seen a player capable of jumping so high for a header - like a spawning salmon. His brother-in-law was a more than useful goalkeeper who also had spells with Grimsby and Charlton (and Rangers). Kevin Drinkell was another cracking Mariners marksman of yesteryear. And John Oster, who had a spell with us, started his professional career at Blundell Park. The co-founder of Chrysalis Records (and former chairman of QPR) Chris Wright is a Grimsby fan. Wonder if he’ll be at the match.

Garry Birtles used to play for Grimsby and Tony Ford clocked up hundreds of appearances for them. The comedian Lloyd Griffith is a Grimsby supporter so maybe he will attend the match.

Looking at the club's website, looks like only away fans in the Arthur but I may be wrong
