I see that someone's finally had the bollocks to send that thug Capoue off, by the way. Long overdue.

29 attempts. Twenty nine.

We were excellent today. It could’ve been 5 or 6.

This is our system. It works for us when we have the right personnel. Intricate, high intensity but also defensively sound. I think it’s starting to look more and more that Max’s slow integration probably had to do with fitness. Because he proved today, in the RLC of last season position that he’s the missing link. MOTM for me today.

In Roy we trust.

We're the Arthur over ere!

Great to see today how many players were prepared to have a shot - not just leaving it all up to Wilf, and that's the result... 29 attempts at goal/ 9 on target.

Predictably there will be posters claiming it was due to the return of HF. Totally disregarding the excellent play we produced, apart from finishing, it could of been 5 or 6-0.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Solid performance under a lot of pre pressure. Play like that and with a decent striker and we will be fine. Bring on the Weeds and Spammers. COYP !!

He was great, but I think Townsend edges it for that goal. All over the pitch we were better though. There's something about playing the big teams that seems to galvanise us and get us focused ready for when we play lesser opposition. The commentator in the stream I watched said our build up play was the best he'd seen the PL this season. Mind you, he also said if we had a decent goal poacher they'd easily get 25 goals a season!!

I said at the beginning of the season that with limited transfer activity Burnley may well struggle with Europe and the PL but they were truly awful today. I expected them to be physical but they weren't, which only served to highlight how limited they are technically. Unlike Leicester who used their success to invest in the squad Burnley seem to have done the opposite. It really would have not been unfair if we'd won this by even as much as 6 or 7 goals. They play Liverpool midweek.
