Hopefully, we will get a point but the sides all recently written off as relegation certainties are now on a roll whereas, we are in a hole!!

Did you read my original post.

Did I say that the table would stay as it is? No I didn’t.
Did I say that there would be no fluctuation, no surprise, no team hitting form? No I didn’t.

What I said was that there was no justification that Newcastle, Burnley or Fulham are any more, or less likely than us to pull away from the Relegation Zone; and there is no justification that Brighton will be dragged back into it.

If recent history is your justification then that shows that Crystal Palace have always (in the last few years) ended up finding a bit of form and being clear of relegation by the end of the season. So that doesn’t support your pessimism.

For the record, I think that we are more likely to be relegated in the next six seasons than we are to get into Europe. However, I don’t think that, at this stage in the season, we can say that we are any more likely or less likely than Newcastle, Burnley or Fulham to go down this season and we should just enjoy the season as it unfolds.

Just because I am asking you to justify your prediction, it doesn’t make me an eternal optimist. I think I am a realist who wants to enjoy the ride none-the-less.

mate - relax, i tried to add humour to my post to lighten the mood.

But, take a look at the league table... my fears are justified.

Didn't we just have a score draw against Arsenal ? Is our plight that bad ?

Cardiff have now won 2 home games.
Another team who have been struggling,Newcastle have also won 2 at home, and in successive games. We of course haven't won a single home game, nor scored from open-play at home.

One thing in our favour currently,is our excellent goal difference.
However,if we don't start winning soon,we will be in the bottom three particularly as one or two sides are finally getting results, with Man U up next where many predict yet another brave performance, but predictably,no points.
Hopefully,Parish will see the catastrophe unfolding and spend big on an established striker capable of scoring the goals necessary to keep us up.

Supporters will have written this game off as yet another defeat so there will be no blood-letting if we lose as expected.

The crucial game will be the next one, home to Burnley.
Lose that one and there really will be venting of spleens and hyperventilating. This followed by a defeat at Brighton and there will be fury spat forth like sparks from a welder's torch and HOL will go into meltdown.

I believe some will recognise his achievements last season when he performed a miracle to save us from ther dreaded drop and feel that he could instigate a similar revival again. Some might be generous enough to give him time with the transfer window coming in January. And of course some will consider the alternatives and think that he is best placed to initiate a change in fortunes given his record last season.Others of course will view the situation differently and believe that it is time for a change.

I believe that defeats against both Burnley AND Brighton will certainly be hugely damaging and that both Hodgson and Parish will be the subject of ordure and opprobrium.

Do you mean some fans will be pissed off by any chance?

I wouldn't choose to use those words but I do believe there is a growing chorus of execration apropos our plight and Messrs Parish and Hodgson.
