However, just to add that I went to see Palace at Cov (The Richoh) around 10 years ago.

No queues at the catering outlets, because they were well-staffed and outlets plentiful. Beer served instantly in a plastic pint glass, but at least it was draught and cold, and not a bottle of over-priced warm cats pl55 that took 10 minutes to queue for.

I know the crowds are less at Cov, and they have/had a spanking new stadium the Council paid for,...

I guess we'll see how Nandos does in the New Stand, because I think we're stuck in a rut ATM at Selhurst

I went as an away fan to Anfield last season. In comparison to Selhurst they could be in the Good Food and Pub Guide although their selection was hardly world-beating. Availability, price and quality were all good. They probably make tens if not hundreds of thousands per home game.

I have not availed of the catering facilities at the aforementioned locations but there does appear to be a groundswell of negativity towards the product and service.

I recall bygone days when the only facilities available to 'Yours truly' was that small hut at the top of the Holmesdale and the peanut lady Mrs Minchella who was always stood on the Holmesdale terrace.Perhaps there were others but the years have dimmed my memory !

Willo remember her well. She appeared at the Whitehorse end as well. Years later I worked with her nephew who remembered her very fondly (she always frightened me, quite a fearsome lady "roasted peanuts, 6 pence a bag"

And I recall that Palace chant which ended "Peanuts for 6 pence" !

Just an update. Yesterday a chap purchased a burger from food outlet in Lower Holmesdale. The burger was burnt on the outside but raw in the middle, a steward advised him to change it (I think they knew each other), the replacement was as bad. At the same time a female steward who had been involved spoke to another chap and advised him to inspect his burger, it was the same, as was it's replacement. To be fair the steward reported it saying that these should not be sold, the club's representative's reply is staggering "They can be eaten rare but the CHEF (sic) should ask how they want them done!!!" FFS this is not a restaurant selling quality cuts of meat. Should the club really be condoning the sale of potentially harmful food?

Burgers are different from cuts of meat.
Mince is all kinds of stuff amalgamated together. If it's not cooked through, it's not fit to serve.

Did anyone order a pint in the red and blue bar. The beer was taking absolutely ages to pour at half time.

Call the council and get the place shut down ... it won't be missed! Absolutely disgraceful. The "football" menu at Palace is bad enough but selling food that could be injurious to health is scandalous. ... they are truly taking the pi$$!

And the cronx was pure vinegar, absolutely foul.

They did swap my pints for Palace ale, but that's not much better either.
