The HF (like it or not) are rather iconic for our club and standout as part of ‘our’ image. They are not known for trouble but working class, decent organic and a positive atmosphere. On balance it is a negative change. SParish is known for being a man who won’t be bullied or afraid of saying no. However, some decisions can be made to cut a nose off to spite a face... Would you still be taking that view if it were you being chucked out of the seat that you had sat in for years?

Trivial fact - Palace used to win 5-1 at least once a season, maybe next season? |

Did the HF offer compensations to the fans they wanted to kick out of there seats,or did they want the club to just move them and alienate already happy supporters

I hope those defending block E are also defending the residents in Wooderson Close those houses will be knocked down to make way for a new stand. Literally forced out of their homes by the club. And then there was the disabled section at the corner of the holmesdale. Where was the outrage when they had the Sky box built in front of them?
I'm tough. I'm ambitious. I know exactly what I want. If that makes me a bitch, I'm OK with that. |

How awful. Selhurst will be a morgue again. I remember what is was like before the HF. Atmosphere was dire. Constant stand up of you love palace in desperation to get get people to stand up and sing. I really hope this is sarcasm but I somehow think not.

The Holmesdale Hundred started after 1966 and all that. In my youth, yes, the ground was quiet. The best thing ever to happen to, or rather at, the Holmesdale, was the roof. That has created more noise than anyone. I think its a shame they are going their own ways, but every one is still a Palace fan. And true fans will not give up and not shut up. I still lose my voice at matches, in my sixties now. '...the Pride of South London, South London's number One' has not changed one bit.

The houses were built knowing they were in the shadow of SP. It was a nasty fudge when the Lady Eldridge school grounds were sold. The residents will have been aware of the possibility of further growth of SP and meanwhile got cheap housing. It doesn’t give the impression of being a settled community I put a sticker on my seat before The Holmesdale was finished. I would have stayed regardless had the HF come to sit with me.

Think safe standing will get the go ahead for a lot of clubs before next summer,in our case the lower holmesdale blocks will be the natural area for this.At which point a lot of block E would have moved anyway,so the club could have pleased all partys at that point.Always found it strange how the group never increased its numbers, what is common with european ultras groups is the young and rebellious are drawn to them and the HF had an arrangement with the club to use other seats in the area. After 12 odd years they may have decided without the move to block E they would face a slow decline,so in true ultra style disbanded
