There is no doubt that there are victims of war in Gaza, however when people post links to sites with an obvious agenda it does little to help the conversation.

When you say "Real Victims" it seems to imply that the only victims are on the Palestinian side?

Sorry no "agenda" intended. I was not trying to compare one injustice with another. It is just a convenient link. If you want to see the work of this fantastic Hospital directly then use this site:

No point-scoring from me.

It does occur to me that these people must grow up loathing Israel, Hamas will never have to advertise.

It's true that anti semitism is widespread.

It's also true that they have cause to hate Israel.

It's also true, however, that they are raised to hate them.

Egypt managed to make peace with Israel and Jordan don't do too bad either. Hamas want to destroy Israel, it really is that simple.

There are too many people on both sides dying but the ease in which some choose to simply blame Israel is disconcerting

Thanks for the link, I can't imagine the horrors they see, my initial comment was really aimed at the implication that there were only casualties on one side.

Hussein (UN Human Rights Chief) told the UN meeting in Geneva that many of the Palestinians injured and killed “were completely unarmed [and] were shot in the back, in the chest, in the head and limbs with live ammunition”, saying there was “little evidence of any [Israeli] attempt to minimise casualties”.

“Although some of the demonstrators threw molotov cocktails, used slingshots to throw stones, flew burning kites into Israel and attempted to use wire-cutters against the two fences between Gaza and Israel, these actions alone do not appear to constitute the imminent threat to life or deadly injury which could justify the use of lethal force.”

'Terrorists' using slingshots?

It worked quite well for David.

Attempted to use wire cutters on the TWO fences
Why do you think they wanted to cut the fences then.
It wasn't to test there landscaping skills.
It was to enter Israel and kill Jews.
But that's ok isn't It!
They are just a bunch of non believers who deserve to get killed.
As I stated if you were in Israel and that fence went down, you could plead all you like about wanting to stop the violence. You would still be a target. And as stated before until you become a believer you always will be.
500 years hence it may stop just like Christianity realised is was a no win situation for either side and not just in Israel.

The Israelis have all the means to disperse such a mob as this, they have years of experience.

There was one Israel casualty, a soldier struck by a stone.

And disperse them they did.
Threats and soft defence don't work.
That's proved throughout history.
Sadly sometimes you need this response to get the message across.
F##k o## from the fence.
And now they have.
Look life is cheap generally in all societies.
Look how kids are wiping each other out over here.
In Israel if Hamas had any balls they would take their guns and rockets and charge that border once and for all.
They sent people in knowing the response and getting the sympathy vote from some.
They knew that would happen because as I said
Even they know life is cheap.
Think of the Russians in Stalingrad
Keep throwing them in.
As they had loads more to keep going.
Why?
Because the threat if you turn back or don't go.
Propaganda is their best weapon and boy are they wielding it now.

Every time someone is killed or injured the hatred is perpetuated.

So try to avoid killing

Seems self evident to me.

You really believe that ?
The hatred would be and is there no matter
Read the quoted thread from Isis.
Unless you are prepared to be Islamic and all they stand for good or bad
You are hated and a target for death.
I think the quotes Stirling put up are not some fairy tale.
There is no mileage in it being made up.
Accept it and see one day we could all get it from some brainwashed t***.

and Molotovs and kites. In case you aren't aware, this isn't Janet and John running down a hill singing let's go fly a kite!! they cause fires and lots of damage, often with Nazi symbols on them.

What has happened cannot be viewed in isolation unfortunately, whether it is the six day war, Yom Kippur, Munich, Entebbe the various PLO and Hezbollah attacks through the 80s and 90s or more recently murders of police and security forces in Jerusalem they all contribute to where we or rather they, are.
