Didn't he start his career as a right back and has played in that position for West Ham?

Maybe looking at/considering him as a replacement for AWB rather than an attacking role.

Could be a shrewd move..!!

Surely we should be looking at bringing in a young right back to either play now or take over from Ward? If he comes in it will be to play further forward.

He could be an option... Was noticing this morning that Saido Berahino Is playing a friendly in France... he is available.. I know he’s been trouble in the past but has ability and is on a Free... Last chance saloon for him... worth a gamble??

I don't disagree but who in the current market? Anyone young and good enough to slot straight into AWB's place at this time in the window is going to be £20M plus - e.g. Max Aarons.

IMO we missed out on Jack Stacey went to Bournemouth from Luton for £4M - he will be an excellent signing for Bournemouth this season - wait and see..!!

This is the problem with DF not having a scooby and SP perannially leaving things so late.

You miss out on all the good young talent and end up buying older players most of the time at a premium with no resale value I'm afraid.

Last year's target so entirely believable. It takes us a year to sign anyone.

West Ham just bought another striker Albian Ajeti for £8m from Basel, I can see Antonio on loan happening.

should of just paid 15m last season for this guy but no we tried are silly games with reducing the price and ended up with another cheaper West Ham player.

I can't see them letting him go he performed well last season and can play multi positions

Swiss International, Top scorer in Swiss League. Played in Champions League....£8million. May not work out but shows what a good scouting network can uncover

I think it's going to be Chicharito leaving. Ajeti is, after all, a striker. They have some really good players up front, that's how you do good business in the transfer windows:

Yarmolenko...Fornals.....F. Anderson
(Snodgrass)..(Lanzini)....(Antonio)
...............Haller...............
..............(Ajeti)...............

If the new signings adjust to the PL, that is some choice they have.... but is it better than Benteke, Wickham and Ayew?

that must be why they finished 3 points ahead of us ,nwith a title winning manager and spending 10x the money we did.

There were no Haller (15 goals in the Bundesliga), Fornals, Ajeti or even Yarmolenko last year.

free 60k capacity stadium gifted to them by the nation certainly helps - and filling it, even if they have been mostly disgruntled, helps more

I also suspect they are going to have a much happier year this time around - so that's annoying
