Don't even think about it!
He's past his prime. He's had a serious injury. He's failed to deliver since his injury at Everton. We sold him for big bucks when he was past his best, Pardew did well for us.
We want to be signing players with potential - not names from the past. For all the fond memories I have of Yannick, he's yesterday's news now,

I’d take him back in a flash.... at the right price.

Could the mods link this to the ‘Gordon’ thread?

How do we know that he just isn't lacking match sharpness, not saying pay a fortune for him but at the right price could be good

“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn

He’s also on £100k per week so it’s not just the transfer fee.

There only 2 ways that this could be a runner
1)A loan with Everton picking up some of his wages with a right to buy. This is very unlikely as EPL clubs with TV money are usually expected to pay 100% of wages and a loan fee.

2)Everton are willing to take a massive loss and Bolasie a massive wage drop (or Everton continue to pay a percentage of wage). Similar to Chamakh a few years ago where it was rumoured that Arsenal paid part of his wages. We are not in a position to pay 100k wages at present.

There is of course the question can he reach his former heights after the injury. He seems to have an affection for the club so I would say that it is not impossible that he may want to come and be willing to have a lower basic wage with high performance payments in the contract.

With the Ayew deal falling through and it appearing we are still short of an alternative style striker to Sorloth/Wickham/Tekkers. Could Yannick be an answer? A player who can act as both a winger and a striker much like Zaha can.

Been linked with him further today: [Link]

The link says he would be welcomed with open arms by most Palace supporters, i don't think that is the case,
many will remember how he couldn't get away quick enough when he knew Everton were interested, anyway, why take the risk on wether he can regain his former form

I don't want him back. Not even as a sub. His end product was never great and we should be trying for better.

Must be on decent wages with Everton aswell?

I read that he's on £45k/wk, not sure which is true but if i was a betting man..

If Everton need to shift him to make room for others.. Is paying say £8m and £45k/wk a risk worth taking...?

He absolutely loves Palace and although is likely pass his best would make a good squad player if the deal is right.

Everton just want to move him on, Yanick will have some say where he goes. So that could make it a very CHEAP deal for Palace.

Up to this point i've been of the view we should take him back, but I actually think Everton will let him go very cheaply, thats if they want him to go, they'll have to !

IMO a cheap deal is worth it.
