A lot of sports media outlets are jumping on the band wagon with an opening headline of "Wilfried Zaha is reportedly ready to quit Crystal Palace" with Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea and Man City all chasing him. It is just click bait and should be ignored. It is based on an interview with Sky which has been taken out of context. They report him saying "If I get the opportunity to move away eventually, it wont scare me". What they omit to print is this part of the interview where he said "I am enjoying my football and I am contracted to Crystal Palace. I don't really see myself anywhere (else)". He then went on to talk about his time at United and stated that he had grown mentally "So that wont scare me, if I get the opportunity to move away eventually, it wont scare me". It seems to me that he was making a commitment to Palace but did not rule out a move some time in the future but certainly not as early as this summer. Of course, he may have his head turned during the summer and if he does go, I just hope we get £70m for him.

The rumours/reports about him leaving still keep happening even though i thought he said he was staying. I think all eyes will be on him at the final whistle next week for any clues on whether he's saying goodbye or not. He may not know next week whether he will be sold or not. There is a possibility that Steve Parish may say to Roy that he has a transfer budget of £X plus whatever they can generate through sales

But I’d go further and say it wasn’t so much him not ruling out a move, it was more him responding to a bit of a rude question by the interviewer who suggested he may be scared to go for another big move. He was saying I’m not scared, if a top team came in for a move he was keen on he wouldn’t be scared.

I hope that Zaha stays but my thoughts on who he could go to: Man Untd - No been there and failed. So plenty of options however I would remind him that he is a big fish at Palace how certain will he be as a starter at another club?

Wilf said two weeks ago he doesn't see his future anywhere else. Can't see him going to Spurs as their stadium is going to cost around £900 million. Doubt they could afford Wilf.

Love Zaha to stay but reports of him wanting to move on cannot be ignored. Shame that pratt Southgate didn't give Wilf a chance to realise his England international ambitions ... a good run in the forthcoming World Cup might have kept him fulfilled this year?

To be fair the biggest culprit was Roy. Sam had one squad and ignored him and when the new broom did that I think that was when he went with Ivory Coast. When Southgate came in he'd already made his mind up I think. He could have made an effort, but in all honesty I'm glad he isn't playing under the enormous pressure that is England. Liverpool is up north and he said that he gets homesick when away on international duty and couldn’t settle up north with a bigger club. Same rules apply with City as Liverpool I can’t see Chelsea being a destination for Wilf I could see him at Arsenal and they are the only club that concerns me as he has said in the past he supported them as a child. I do also think however that they won’t ha e their s*** together on the managerial front and won’t get him this summer if at all.

oh yeah ,fcuk off brighton. |

Sorry to disagree Henry. As explained in my earlier post (and reiterated by Tipp_Eagle), the reports of Wilf wanting to leave are just not true and can be ignored.
