If we were asking who was the better chairman, then your statement would be relevant. Point is, is Parish taking us forward? Right now, you could argue that no, he isn't. Therefor is he the man to take us forward? The point obviously went right over your head. Previous Chairman haven’t progressed us, in fact they all took us backward almost to extinction. After a defeat the usual posters come out to slag off Parish and how he hasn’t done this, that and the other. The sense of entitlement from some is staggering, obviously new supporters who aren’t just happy to be in the Premier. We have never been in a better position than we are now, but that isn’t good enough for some.

Do you think that Ronnow the Danish international keeper was over valued at 3m Euros? Mr Parish must be s***ting hot bricks that nothing happens to our only remaining experienced goalkeeper for the rest of the season

We were communicating with them but instead started the season with 2, then 2 again after Roy repeatedly said 2, then days after the window we're down to 1. It's this that is the issue, not just once or twice either. Cue FFP or bankruptcy etc. Get the squad equipped with 2 strikers and 3 goalkeepers in August, or be the only club not to. But no, it was supposedly unavoidable or the rest of football's fault they don't give us the players.

If we looked around and planned a bit more are you telling me £30 mil was the only good option? IMO a bargain for Palace, compared to the reported £20M for Ake and £75M for Dyke.

You'll talk about wages, finances and FFP and then in your next breath pretty much claim we have to sign Sakho who we'll be lucky to get a third of a season out of. Add in a bit of nobody wants to come to us and it's unavoidable.

Swansea, WBA, Southampton and Stoke have all had longer spells in the prem than us and been held up as glowing examples of how we should be run. Yeah, really, how's that working out for them. Oh and I've never met SP or think the sun shines out of his arse. I just don't suffer from entitlement. Spot On I've never met SP either btw ! I

We have never been in a better position than we are now, but that isn’t good enough for some. Painter, you sure are a forgiving character. If Parish egged your house I think you would make an excuse for that - maybe he was letting off some much needed steam. What previous chairmen have done is completely, utterly, and totally irrelevant to this discussion. As OP I am talking about the next chairmen, or at least the next person to run transfers and managerial matters. The club is in a completely different state of affairs since the Noades, Jordan and Goldberg era's. Noades, Jordan and Goldberg existed at a time when the game of football was completely and utterly different to what it is today. The sums of money involved for just being in the premier league are at levels that Jordan could only dream of, and the way transfers work now is very different too. The world has changed, sport included, and especially the premier league. I did not post the OP because we got spanked by a lacklustre Everton, as I pointed out. Mark my words, print it out, laminate it and put it on the wall. Parish is NOT the right person to move this club forward, that is a fact and cannot be disputed based on the last several seasons. Here we are, once again, a few points out of the relegation zone. Parish admitting making mistakes is not quite good enough to explain away the absolutely awful decisions he has made lately involving FDB, and signing players (or failing to do so, time and again). I have a team of people who work for me, some are good at what they do, some are sh&te. The good ones can be left alone to get the work done, no worries. The sh&te ones keep making the same mistakes over and over again, they cannot, or will not learn from their mistakes. Their character traits keep influencing their decision making, and they make idiotic decision, after idiotic decision. I for one dont think I want someone who makes clangers in the magnitude of the FDB fiasco pulling the strings anymore at this club. Are you happy we have 1 fit keeper? Are you happy we had 1 fit striker when Benteke went down? Its not rocket science or brain surgery level of difficulty for Parish to have not presided over those almighty cock ups. He just had to act decisively and firmly and address those transfers. Alas...he was unable.

i would remain loyal to Parish. Look at the Newcastle chairman ( or some of da no-a-speak-a-da eeenglish chairmen but got tons of dodgy money and running away from amnesty international ) and be careful what you wish for. Edited by PalazioVecchio (12 Feb 2018 4.09pm) Some of your points: The Good: was a hero when we were looking at financial oblivion. It wasn't just him, you are forgetting the other three which were part of CPFC2010 and now the two american investors. the stadium plans , where many others failed. SP will deliver. Do you not remember the Stadium in CP Park? He is also using fans to push through permission. Nothing has even been agreed yet. the significant improvements to New Beckenham training facilities. Don't the youth team train in goals? Where has the development actually been. We've not seen a youth prospect hold down a regular position in the Championship.
I'd suggest you come away from the amount of Parish points you have and actually look at the club's issues. Yes Steve, and CPFC2010 saved us. But CEOs/Chairmans/Leaders can only take teams/business so far; and this is his time.

SP didn't let Niasse's agent take the piss and I for one applaud that. They thought they had us over a barrel Parish proved otherwise. Keeper situation is far from ideal however we had number 1 target all window and unfortunately his club wanted more, (apparently more than double) than the release clause. We have now signed hm and we will have him in the summer. Our biggest issue is non TV revenue, our matchday takings are poor unless we increase that we will continue to struggle. The fact that SP isn't allowed to make mistakes, many of which he has admitted is laughable. I didn't know there were so many perfect people in the world.
